So the GOAL is trade Reddick to move up somewhere here. What do you do? 

 

I’d probably be looking to move the 120 and 210 with Reddick as high as I could get.

Cardinals are an interesting team to appear interested in particular. They own Pick 4. Pick 27. Pick 35. Pick 66. Pick 71. Pick 90. Pick 104. Pick 138. And several more later round picks.

I’d straight trade them our 22 and 50….for there 27 and 35. Without Reddick being involved.

Could Reddick and our 120 get us the Cards 90?

Yes...he postponed the ORIGINAL date of last week... now the $1 million is due April 1st.    Which is way before the draft.  

So I ask you the question again.  What happens to the roster bonus due next Monday ... way before the draft?

If you can get a 3rd or 4th round comp pick for him, why would you get rid of him for that? 

If any team truly wants him, that's a steal.  Decent chance the same player you might select at 90 could still be there at 120.

Well what trade are you making? Maybe keep it specific in this very likely trade partner scenario….with the Cards.

120 ..to 90…is a very significant difference for me.

Reddick either gets traded before April 1 or he receives the bonus, which I highly doubt?

With the Cards.... I don't take less than pick 90 ... straight up.   That's the minimal starting point.    End of the 3rd round pick...  

I would assume other teams would offer better than pick 90.   With the Arizona draft assets... they should be willing to give pick 71.   

But again, not rushing into that either.

I'd prefer a draft day trade...with the player that I want ...on the clock. 

This is where the $1 million roster bonus is tricky.  They could have already made the trade, no reason to push it back to April 1st.    Both sides agreed to do that.    

To me... it seems like more time to negotiate a restructure.

He receives the bonus either way... just a matter of which team pays for it.  It actually gives the Eagles more leverage to trade him after April 1st.   Rushing to save $1 million .. very dumb.
