Maybe Barkley should have been names offensive MVP

The Chiefs put so many resources into stopping him it opened up the rest of the offense

Worst part about this season. ...is that it's over. They were playing better as the season progressed. Kudos to the offense...had both WRs our early, then both slowed by injury late. Goedert was injured twice missing time.  Injuries all over the line here and there, and right up at the end on the interior.  QB concussion...

Who knows how much faster this could have gelled if they had been able to practice and play more together.

Bellicheat had his girlfriend wearing a shirt trolling the Falcons. ATL blowing that 28-3 lead in that SB ….then washed out this season after they didn’t hire him.

Eagles got lot of big questions coming up in the offseason

CB- sounds like Slay and Rodger’s want to come back even at cheaper price tags

DE- Milton/Sweat just balled out on the biggest stage plus both had good seasons they are likely going to see interest in FA. Do we target our own guys look into Myles Garrett, draft?

Kellen Moore is supposedly a lock to take the Saints HC job which means we have to replace our OC again.

Then you still have Becton and Buan as FA as well feeling like Baun should be top priority

That's 2 times ... 7 years apart that John Lynch watched Howie Roseman hold the Lombardi

Wonder if AJ is playing for the Patriots next year

Or... here is a thought....STFU?   Move from left field back to the infield!

Siri is a top head coach in the league... Howie is probably the best GM in the league.

There was a theme and I know you mentioned it already and we know Bark is very humble. I watched his reactions in game. Focused, but early on I said something like, "Bark looks indecisive". Little did I know that could have been on purpose. he got his yards in, but Siri pre jacked AR. Everyone expected Bark to be the focal point and as we saw that's where the KC defense had game planned for, but our game plan was already in place to counter all that. It was the passing game we focused on and we screwed up ALL their defensive plans. Siri put his faith in our O lines pass pro and Hurts played a gorgeous game and the O line was superb all game. Bark would still get yards but as they concentrated on him, we went elsewhere. Just brilliant game planning. Siri had me fooled as well, because after seeing the struggles KC had with the Buffalo RB's I assumed Bark would romp. But that was never the plan. Bark was used enough that they still had to account for him, but by the time KC adjusted the rout was already on. At the 1/2 I thought maybe KC would come back and make a game out of it and they tried, but this team was to good to let them. DeJean was fantastic, Q's name was never mentioned and that's GOOD for a CB. We had them covered everywhere and I got my coverage sacks I figured we would get. IMO this is the best team collectively in Eagles history. Hurts as a game manager was awesome' Covering Kelce was a big concern I had-mission accomplished. Just a top rate performance and a well earned Lombardi. Howie was masterful not only in the last draft, but also getting FA's when injuries struck. As the game progressed my Eagle haters just had to admit how great this team looked from top to bottom, on both side of the ball. Alot of Philly hate was replaced with "OMG these guys rock" .I was so happy Graham could play and he got into their backfield, it wasn't just a cameo. IDK if he plays another year or hangs up the cleats, but he was a force until he got hurt. Other guys upped their game especially the young kids who are our future. It looks very bright with the play from Jalyx and others. The 2nd and 3rd year linemen looked excellent. Becton was terrific, I hope we can retain him. All the receivers did their part, got involved and Hurts hit them. I'm not goin to nitpick because there was so little wrong it's not worth a mention. I will enjoy especially wearing my gear with pride. What a classic fabulous show we put on. Hurts has begun his trek to the HOF with this win. We know who Hurts is and he works hard on his weaknesses. For now let them enjoy the spoils of a well earned year and all the accolades. I'm sure Howe will be more then thrilled to write those bonus checks. From Lurie to the Gatorade crew. Well done!!!!

What a great move by Dotson beating the Press

Dotson looked great. Took him awhile to show up, but he made plays in the playoffs

That first half score of 24 points got us over 23 yards for the Chiefs was just a thing of beauty. That’s after the BS OPI call stopped our first drive with AJ.

Horrible call. But i said we needed to beat KC AND the refs, and we DID

Yeah, and Mahomes looked like he was in Run For Cover most of the night.

Mahomes just wasn’t reading things well, staring down the rush….making really bad decisions…..

I almost forgot...Congrats Howie and Thank You for building this roster!!!

Fangio was brilliant

Some have said that Mahomes just didn't play well. As if he was just off. I disagree. I make the claim that the Eagles forced him to play poorly. Our defense overwhelmed him.

Ehhh.. good post.  I will say though

Barkley 25 rushes... Hurts 22 pass attempts.

It wasn't like we just stopped running and decided to pass.  To me, we used the running game...the threat of the running game, the physical punishment of the running game.    All set up those 22 passes...as well as some of the Hurts runs.  Gainwell even had a few runs there toward the end of the half.

The roster built by Howie has all the weapons a QB needs in the pass game.  But the beauty of watching it when it has worked best SINCE THE BYE WEEK....is that they make sure the defense prioritizes stopping the run first.

When they continue to run, even when it's not working, it keeps the pass rush at bay.  Because with Barkley,  all it takes is one play where you don't focus on him...and BOOM!   TD from anywhere on the field!

That's why during the season when you were saying " the run isn't working " I was saying " RUN THE BALL"

If we are boxing, I know I'm not going to knock you out with a left jab, but if I stop throwing them, it becomes much more difficult to land the right hand knockout punch.

We absolutely won that game and put up 40... because we kept running the ball and keeping their pass rush at bay.  Don't ever think otherwise.

25 rushes by Barkley.... vs 22 pass attempts...absolutely shows that.

I think they are used to their " speed" WRs getting open deep or on crossing routes.

Our group with the rookies are faster and can keep up with the speed guys.

Watch how we communicate when the opponent goes in motion...watch how we play the bunch formation.

The " great O mind" from the side relies on the speed of his WRs or the defense messing up on simple crossing routes.  Plus his QBs phenomenonal athletic ability... which we saw on a few occasions last night.  Anyone else we get 10 sacks and they don't get 22 points.

Fangio has had these guys playing the simple crossing routes and any motion from the opponent...very well all season.

Dejean stays in the slot...because we can use him in so many ways.  Besides cover skills...both DeJean and Mitchell play in zone well and make tackles immediately to shut down any extra yards.

It showed last night in Mahomes face when he realized that he wasn't going to get 20 yards due to a 3 yard pass and 17 YAC.  He knew his coach had nothing else left but to rely on is athletic ability.

Both times we played Mahomes in the SB….. ….he wasn’t the best player on the field.

He was the guy I wanted to trade for….but was having some doubts. Going into next season knowing we have three WRs now. The trust and belief is instilled in him now.

Barkley was probably our player that kind of felt the pressure of the moment too heavily. He bobbled that long reception even. But really came through stepping up with some very solid key blocks. There was so very clearly once again a best player on the field in the SB….it wasn’t Mahomes either time. It wasn’t Saquan yesterday.

KC's OL was a perfect example of why backups are so important. Instead of having a b/u at T, they move the RG, causing multiple problems from the original one. I did not like having to move Dickerson to C for the NFC title game, but we had multiple injuries and great b/u's.

This postseason
Mitchell: • 10/21, 54 yards • 1 TD/2 INT • 30.6 rating DeJean: • 13/20, 157 yards • 0 TD/1 INT • 68.1 rating
