And spent decent $ on Chris Long. Run downs had Vinny Curry and Jernigan. Then we used Long and Barnett on passing downs. We currently have Graham and Sweat.. along with Smith and Huff. One would use common sense logic that Sweat and Graham would get playing time during run downs... setting the edge...with Davis at NT. Probably use Graham in a pass rushing role as a 4/3 DT as well. Point is we didn't use the free agent and #1 pick together to stop the run in 2017...why do you expect to use them together in a 4 man line now... to stop the run?

Hurts was progressing in that area, then stalled and went backwards last year. Needs to go back to progressing not regressing seeing the receivers. Actually now it's 5 reads that need to be made as bark is a receiving weapon also He needs to start progressing in the area of more than one read. Hasn't started yet. Still the same since every year he has played.

He was starting to in '22 IMO,then went backwards last year. With this plethora of receivers,if Lurie wants another ring, this is on Hurts now, there are no more "It's on me,I need to do better" Time to stop saying it and actually get it done. Pickett would pick defenses apart, even McKee could light things up with this receiving corps. I'm sorry, but I don't think Lurie will tolerate another fail led by Hurts. Maybe we lose because of our defense(we shall see) but there is zero excuses not to (I hate this word) unleash the potential; this offense has,and I don't care who it's against. I'm pulling for Hurts(despite being called a hater),but he really needs to step up his game and stop playing like a rookie. Howie has provided Hurts as many resources as I can possibly fathom while Hurts has been here. There are no more excuses to be had on offense

Lurie has no more hair to pull out and no more tolerance for losing when it counts most. I still don't know what the collapse was about, but my god losing to lowly AZ was the bad icing on the stale cake and then making the playoffs despite that humiliation,we proceeded to get humiliated in Raymond James stadium. If it wasn't so sad,it would be comical, the way we lost that game. Now it's time to put up or shut up. New OC who is into the passing game and Hurts better crank that up pronto

Which QB in the NFL has been provided with more from his GM. 31 possible answers... start your count. I'll go with SF to start the conversation... you could argue their skill guys and Williams... overall our OL is better across the board though. The other 30 teams... I'm curious as to which GM supplied his QB with better teammates.... Or maybe there were 30 more GMs that were problematic????

They can get rid of him in 2027 ... but doubt before then.
April 12, 20241 yr Certainly the KC GM didn't provide Mahomes much in way of the skill guys other than Kelce. A decent group ... overall not the Eagles

For what reason do you not see that as a factor in anything?

A decent group ... overall not the Eagles Tyreek Hill was a beast when he was there, they also usually have solid RB's. I can't fault the KC org, they are there every year and Mahomes makes sure they don't collapse on themselves. Mahomes also makes sure his players touch the ball and get the stats,so in the future they can command higher paychecks if they stay in KC or not(see Tyreek Hill). Mahomes doesn't hog he ball,he makes sure it's a TEAM effort. Pass first, run if you MUST not the other way around
April 12, 20241 yr Author 32 minutes ago, cunninghamtheman said: Best O mind coaching in the game though… Well let's look at this year so far. Howie got Bark, Howie made amends with CJG and got him back. he extended Smith and added Huff. Howie picked up 2 guys we can try in the slot(Parker and Paris if Hurts can find them). He re-signed the TE from Denver and went out and got Uzomah who was decent in Cincy and this is all before the draft. So he didn't get all the other defense you wanted. he can't afford to get them all or you become Dullaz with cap space issues annually. He's on a "GM of the year" roll yet he is the problem?? Please!!!
