where do you find that they like this guy so much? Haven't heard any of that at all.

https://athlonsports.com/nfl/philadelphia-eagles/philadelphia-eagles-atlanta-falcons-former-punt-returner-avery-williams-cut I read alot that Siri really liked him and praised him as a returner alot early on. But now the competition caught up with him. he was supposedly a replacement for Covey

Could be some varying or hybrid roles surely that could result in BVS integration into the O.

Falcons Lose Return Specialist Avery Williams to Super Bo...

Once the NFL's top punt returner, Avery Williams is headed to the Philadelphia Eagles.

He can play both,he already know how to be a FB. Just adding to his versatility and yet more reason to keep him around

I’d rather see Ben work at his craft at FB and get reps in with the RBs since he will be playing in the backfield.

Perfect world Ben gives you the versatility of a guy like Leonard Weaver back in the day at FB

Well at least we are zigging so that should make Ham happy

Very true

Ability to pass protect and catch out of the backfield could also help carve out a niche role for Ben being a 3rd down back on top of the lead blocking FB.

I'm just clawing at a way to keep MJ on the roster. This kid is going to be really good if you give him the chance. I like him going forward better than Dillon. My fear is if we put him on the PS he will be gone to a RB needy team. As I watched his vids,it just hit me as to how he looked like an inexperienced Barkley. Very similar moves. I feel if you give this kid some time, he would really tear it up. Maybe he goes on "mystery IR" also.

He is a big boy who is fast for his size. As a former TE in HS, I just see all the needed attributes(jealous of most of those LOL)

They should be called 1/3rd backs HAHA a FB sounds like a guy that's behind the 1/2 back, but they can't use the LB(lead back) designation for obvious, reasons so FB is all they could do

Right... I haven't heard anything that they like him so much in camp? April and May really don't matter

If I had to guess Cooper Dejean will be the PR and if we don’t want to use him all the time we will see Dotson back there

I would rather risk Dotson. I don't like risking anyone, but it's football. You have to weigh your options.

RE: the pre game tomorrow. Maybe after tomorrow we will know who we can trade away. I think there could be a few WR's some other teams would like to have. IDK how high we are on Cooks, Avery could be another trade guy if anyone wants a return man, I was never a fan of Marshall even when he was with the Gators. He was on the lazy side there also. maybe he changed. Just sayin' Maybe we can trade for some depth elsewhere or project guys that aren't WR's. It's a very interesting year. I hope McCord shows well, seems he has lots of potential. Maybe we add another vet and he goes on the PS IDK just guesswork at this point

Why I mentioned Cooper only coming in sparingly at PR similar to how we used to use Djax.

You don’t even return plenty of P. I like guys that can be out there making plays. PR is a perfect job setting up doing that.

Last pre tonight at 7:30 so you don't have to look it up LOL

DJax was a little guy…O finesse player. Can’t really compare are hard hitting defender to DJax treatment.

Yup he was a college FB that converted to LB that we asked to covert back to FB because we want a FB.

If we want him to play FB why would we have him play another position? If we wanted him to play TE the team would have asked him to covert to TE but we didn’t we had him covert to FB again

Not so sure it’s that so very cut and dry. Believe he could be a cheap longer term system player. So be worth adding him into the mix.
