He stated " quality" slot CBs... he can't list an elite CB that plays primarily in the slot.... DeJean was #60 on the players list...as a rookie. He will get paid due to his play...not where he stands on the field. Show me another nickel CB that is in the top 100... that you think is an elite CB...deserving elite CB pay? Has nothing to do with where they stand on the field and 💯 to do with their level of play amongst other CBs in the league.
August 30, 2025Aug 30 I think Dejean will get paid as long as he keeps playing at a high level don’t think the FO is going to care what they label his as just stud secondary player.Also wouldn’t shock me to see Dejean as the #2 CB playing on the outside in base sets moving inside in nickel. Even talks of Dejean playing S this year

The evolution of the game...he is a starter...a standout... a top 60 player... that's why he will get paid.
