It's another obstacle for the Philadelphia Hurts to overcome

It’s showtime for Patullo. First shot at it in the bright lights..against the DC he used to coach with. Not the easiest test. He’s got a full plate right now.

It’s a tall ask to have the entire O on the same page week one. I expect mistakes. Just the lumps you take with not going hard in the PS.

What is Siri's track record in opening games?

Will Q travel?

Side to side, but not into the Slot when Lamb goes there. DeJean will cover him when he is in the Slot.

So they talked years ago ,IDK why that is relevant now? We didn't have Bark nor our D when they "talked"

Eberflus was already a well respected DC at that point. Patullo is just now first time OC. How could this not matter?

It's just ao difficult.... he's never been at a football game before

The Philadelphia Hurts will overcome this

Just a guess on the roster call up for today going to say Covey and Andre Sam(could be Epps but again just not sure how ready he is only being here what like a week)

McCord as the Emergency QB call up will be one of the two call ups.

There is the flip side of we have Fangio matching up against Shotty.

Had to look it up and Klayton Adams

The main question with Patullo is can he call plays some coaches just have a knack for it other don’t doesn’t make them good or bad coaches though just not good play callers

"One team that made a strong play this summer to try to trade for All-Pro linebacker Micah Parsons was none other than the Philadelphia Eagles, per league sources," Schefter said. "The Eagles called the Cowboys to see if they could acquire Parsons and bring him back to Pennsylvania. But the Cowboys had no interest in trading Parsons in the division, especially to the defending Super-Bowl champion Eagles, whom they open with tonight."

Howie calls everyone in (almost) every trade opportunity regardless of whether he is actually interested in a trade or not. It is his job to do so, and it also give the GM he is calling the opportunity to say "No" to him. Having that "No" on the record comes in handy when Howie really is interested in making a deal.

It’s a huge step up in game day responsibilities. Not sure how you could even make so light of playcalling duties?

Philadelphia's record in the opener under Siri

4-0... scoring 32, 38, 25 and 34 points. 3 different OCs... including Brian Johnson in the poor weather vs a Bill Belichek defense putting up 25.

At what point do we end the BS idea of trying to give the Philadelphia Hurts excuses. Patullo has been with the Hurts for 4 years. The players on the Hurts are familiar with him.

Feels fairly safe to assume there was legitimate interest for us in Micah he plays a premium spot that fits in the teams core beliefs(also an area that could be looked as a weakness for us right now). On top of Micah having interest in play for Philly.

Also makes perfect sense that Jerry had zero interest in trading Micah to us

Doug Pedersen IMO... great play caller on game days.

Jihad and Baun controlling that second level of the D I can’t wait to see….such a different look for us.

Definitely a coach that had a knack for calling plays building off plays

Is Jihad even starting? Thought he was splitting with Trot…. Definitely area of the D to keep an eye on

He is new to football...never been involved in the decision making process before. Because we know football coaches don't talk to each other...so up to this point he has had absolutely zero influence or experience working with a play callers.

Would be great if coaches actually spend an obsessive amount of time talking football....but we know that Patullo probably never had a conversation with any play callers.

Key really is just to get them in quickly. Be nice to build on plays called with counters and setups. But what proved out last season was Moore didn’t get in great playcalling…but he got it in quick. So O gets to the line to read the D. Motion. Audible.

Just get our O that….

I think he will play some off the edge in some situations as will Baun. Both of those guys offer that ability to help the pass rush and offer a formation where all 3 LBs are on the field together in a Nickel package.

Excited to see what Fangio has cooked up

The Philadelphia Hurts overcame so much last season... I have faith they will do it again.

But you make the point....Moore not really good play calling in that 34 points season opener ... so you would hsve a point in saying Patullo doesn't have a high bar to follow.

Fangio is probably the best DC the Hurts have hired.

Siri has mentioned his attempt to out score Dallas …wasn’t a good idea that matchup. But also has shown wanting to be conservative.
