Regarding "leading” the Defense, how was he able to do that? When they were on the field he wasn’t. When he was on the field they weren’t. They were effectively ships passing in the night. The leadership of the D came from Fangio up in the Booth, and the Defensive players down on the sidelines.

Fangio isn’t on the field and you acknowledge lead. Leadership comes in many forms that aren’t revolving around throwing a football. The one thing even BG shared with our opponents before….with Hurts…our guys believe we can…no…WILL get it done.

Your statement argued that Hurts was the only leader. He is the tactical leader implementing the Offensive Strategy. Fangio leads by setting and adjusting the Defensive Strategy. You don’t need to be on the field to deliver that essential highest order, highest impact leadership. Then the position coaches and the players deploy the specific tactical steps that implement the strategy. Hurts has nothing to do with the setting of Fangio’s strategy, nor does he interact with the defensive position coaches on the sideline, and as I pointed out in my prior comment he isn’t on the field when the Defense is on the field, and those defenders aren’t on the field when Hurts is on the field with the Offense. So his role and actions are as the prime tactical leader of the Offense.

Regarding BG’s comment, he has said the same thing about Sirianni. It is a both/and situation/observation.

Compared to other games it counts 50% more than a Cowboys game or a Commanders game or a Giants game.

Not that we have to care...but if you constantly beat me when I don't have my team, then it would mean more. At what point did yiu think we would win any of those 4 games we lost to Tampa recently? We were way out classed. The one time we came with a decent team we dominated them. Does it matter record wise...nope...does it matter mentally...yep. LMAO just saying it can't be one way and not the other. So we had guys out and they won just like we beat SF with no QB. It's like drag racing, "you run what ya brung". The NFL doesn't care, you put forth the best team you can and you win or lose

SO you are going to feel extra great if we beat TB without their top 2 WR's?(like the way we lost when we didn't have ours?) It would mean more to me if I "beat the best you got". The W is the W. if you want to feel good mentally, you need to beat the best they got

It's simple... forget us as fans ..we mean nothing. The players matter. Which players do you really think that they think so much about Tampa? AJ didn't lose.. DeJean didn't play... I don't think any of the Eagles players think " Tampa has our number, or that we have to prove anything" I just think they want to win and go 4-0. They are in the now... not last year or any other time.

Like I said... psychologically it's different if I feel you beat me when im at full strength ... over and over and over again...( see Rams) but much different if i don't feel i ever had a real chance because I was no where close to full strength or had a good enough roster in the first place.

If I'm Hurts...knowing that I had AJ and I dominated Tampa....but lost a bunch of times with Quez Watkins and Johnny Wilson starting.. I'm not feeling so defeated or having to prove anything. I just want to win and stay ahead in the playoffs race.

Yes, in the standings a head to head win is worth 1 plus the tiebreaker (arbitrarily call that .5 win).
