Not overlooked at all. Go back and read what has been consistently said by multiple posters here … Hurts is very clearly the on the field leader of the Offense. He is the decision-maker on the audibles. He is clearly the carrier/dispenser of a winning attitude both on and off the field … and off the field that example/message goes to all the players, all the coaches, all the front office, the owner, and all the world at large. However, for the Defense on game day, the opportunity to be meaningful more than Fangio and/or the key players is simply not there. The same is true for the Special Teams.

Further, he isn’t the only human being dispensing that "win first and foremost” message.

The wins were far from inspiring, the team culture was suspect even shaky, the opponents in games 12-17 were very challenging, and the schedule was highly favorable to the opponents in terms of rest for them and no rest for the Eagles.

The waterfall effect that ended in the Wild Card game was primarily the result of the shaky culture.

Many weren’t pointing it out at all. Many were power ranking us as the best team in the league.
