Go back and look at the videos of the incompletions targets thrown to AJ. There is an interesting pattern. The timing between AJ and Hurts is off. The throws arrive at AJs catch point late enough that the CB has enough time to drive toward the catch point and achieve a PBU. Why do you think that timing disconnect existed?

Not the only reason. Late throws is another possible reason, as is AJ not running the routes cleanly. In the two go routes, Hurts overthrowing substantially out of bounds is another reason.
