There was a lot of slipping on that field

Lot of self inflicted wounds from our offense…. First drive hurts fumble, 2nd drive players slipping on the field on back to back plays. Mailata had a pair of terrible false starts in the game putting us in a hole…. Toth had a huge holding call later in the game that negated Barkley best run for a 1st down.

Overall Toth is doing better than i thought he would.

That was a hold but my guess it wouldn't have been called on a pro bowl center

So when Hurts decides to give the ball to Barkley on the same play and he loses yardage...it's amazing how it then becomes " bad play calling" isn't it? Or when Fred Johnson completely whiffs on a block

.. or when Mailata slips...or when Hurts doesn't see an open Smith behind the defense... just amazing how Patullo all of a sudden can't call plays? QB draw was a perfect call before the fumble though on that first drive, but Patullo fumbled.

Just bad play calling when you call for your player to slip.

Just bad play call there with that hold

But Mailata executed the play perfectly

And the bad throws and fumbles and missed seeing open receivers...and bad decisions on RPOs... agree.

there's really no bright spot on the offense at this point.

although goedert did get me enough points for my fantasy team.

🤣

If you watch the TD reception by Smitty, you will see what I was talking about before. It was not a clean cut route, it was an arc, a timing route. As long as you are inside your defender it's very hard to defend. Not the clean break your diagram showed. I hope you can see what I mean now

For a former TE it’s really surprising how you don’t recognize or understand expectations on any route running. That wasn’t an Out Route. Why would you think it was?

Definitely have no idea what you are thinking or comparing

It was an ugly win due to poor, predictable coaching on the O. According to Smitty, his TD was something he, AJ, and Hurts schemed up. AJ should have drawn a DPI. GB has a good D, still no reason over this season for not being able to scheme AJ open. With the emphasis on ball safety, Hurts is not going to throw as many contested throws, where AJ excels when he's being used for more than a blocker or decoy. It used to be screens behind the LOS on long ydg drove me nuts. Now it's predicted runs up the gut.

Stinks it’s come to this..but feels like it’s going to be up to the players

Maybe I missed something but where did he say it was an out route?

Speaking of out routes with the Pack sitting on the out routes i have to wonder why the Eagles didn't call an out and go

I was simply saying the play calls were too predictable and non-aggressive. If the D knows ( heck, we all knew ) we were going to run it up the gut on 3rd and 11, they kept bringing the safety up and stopping that play. Patullo could have used that, repeatedly played it safe instead, giving up on the drive.

Looks like one of the new guys on defense got us a turnover too. With yhe recovered fumble

You are correct. I’ll update the spread sheet and repost.

I mean...the players play the game. Make better decisions, throws and don't fumble and it gets much easier

Play calls were not the reason Mailata slipped, Fred Johnson completely missed his blocking, Hurts fumbled or made any bad throws. Play calling was fine. Head coaching, game decisions at the end were questionable...and I think dumb. But players need to execute. Both offenses had issues with their players last night. Green Bay has the great O mind...doesn't mean squat when the players mess up

Except that could easily be a pick 6 if that defender catches the ball. I'm not a fan of throwing through the defense

Well neither team wanted to score because according to Ham that was the game plan ,so you have to be creative with your pre planned errors LOL

Isn't it always up to the players to execute??

Never did, but it will reported I did into the year 2029 🤣 and could possibly follow me into the afterlife. At the pearly gates he will say "OH you ALMOST made it in, except when you called that out route" Then I will go to hell serving eternity as a Browns fan
