Self discipline. I know that I don’t have enough self discipline to NOT respond to his nonsense and anti-social behavior, so most of the time I have him on Ignore, but every now and then someone responding to him raises a question that I am interested in, so I remove him from IGNORE. But it doesn’t last long before his nonsense and rudeness causes me to accomplish exactly what you are asking for in your comment … NOT keeping the conversation going in a circle.

If everyone put him on IGNORE he would only have himself to talk to.
