Goedert is only pushing on that side of Hurts…mind you. So when the defender attacks the ball it actually becomes Goedert as a major factor against Hurts holding on to the ball when ripped at freely by an untouched defender.

Great point…most refs protect the other QBs much more. But..such a hard play to officiate. In hindsight at the least whistle should have blown though, you believe that’s correct?

I’m not putting everything on the refs…the whistle I felt was more than just a little late though. Forward progress was stopped…then that defender came free all the way around the scrum…had to wrestle it out from Hurts too..

Every player intertwined around Hurts(or think any player) he can’t do crap. But it takes a guy so very late …with great leverage …not being in the pile….but it also took Goedert’s role. Goedert was pushing that side of Hurts…when the defender came ripping at that side at the ball…it shifted everything with Hurts…to where Goedert was shoving forward at the back of that same arm of Hurts. Then the ball finally came out.
