That wasn’t because of anything Hurts was doing wrong, but rather as a tactical step to maximize McKee’s value for the team and as part of Howie’s arsenal of assets. Right now the knock on McKee is that he is all potential and no proof, because he has never started any meaningful NFL games. The Cowboys were playing very badly at that point, worse than they are now. So those two games looked like good ones to take the risk on. With the way the Cowboys are playing now, I think the risk of a loss is significant enough that starting Hurts is the right move. The Rams are hot on our tail for the #1 seed, and we don’t want to lose that.

You really get to see how they perform when the game is all on them. It's kind of like being the understudy in a play that runs all week, but the lead gets hurt in day 5. The show must go on. it's the only way to really know. Maybe you lose that game, but you know if you have something or you don't. Be nice to see some fresh blood once in awhile and let the BU(QB) get used to the 1's in a real game. If Hurts went out, it's not as much of a shock if McKee had to come in because you know he is ready. Last years games were last years that he played in(with the 2's) this year he needs some exposure too. Although I would dislike taking an L, I really don't see McKee losing the game due to lack of talent. Every game he plays showcases his trade value, or dare I say if Hurts wants too much next contract what do you do? (this is not Hurts hate it's the reality of running a business). Maybe we pay McKee more to stick around? I just see it as a win/win for continuing the QB factory and it would be great for the fans as well. Raiders game would be a great game to do this. It would also be good for Patullo as now he would need to make play calls for a different QB style(aka learning curve). Sue me 🤣

But I'd like to see something other than hitch routes

4 hours ago4 hr Some have pointed to Brown’s lack of separation. Brown is 78th out of 79 qualified receivers in the NFL in average separation per target (1.8 yards), per NFL NextGen Stats. That looks bad. But no one questioned Brown’s talent last season when he ranked 83rd out of 84 receivers in the same category.

4 hours ago4 hr Last season it did turn out that having home field throughout the playoffs was huge! One opponent we sent packing believes that was the only reason we advanced past them.

If you watched Brady, Favre,Brees(etc) at throwing competitions there were hitting 18 inch windows

Why is it a risk to lead him knowing he is coming out of his break with inside leverage? That is QB incompetence, nothing else

You afraid McKee will lose? After putting up 70 last year in 2 games with the 2's? If you want to see a different offense, but don't want to see a different QB maybe you are the problem. McKee won't hesitate,he will hit the WR's. And while the tush push and QB runs could be problematic, no reason this offense would fail with the BU

Some how that’s such a ground breaking huge deal that Davis actually taking his job serious when contracts are on the line. Believed he’s overpaid now. Well especially thought this before this season. He’s actually earning his money though I admit. But…his thing has been kind of playing half of the season only well. So…really judging so much on how Davis can finish this season. Now…think it’s obvious we would have rather extended Davis instead of the one year band-aid. This speaks very loudly. Tells me Davis looking to break the bank.
3 hours ago3 hr I very thoroughly broke down how I feel Davis worth more…because of his effect around Carter. But even me jumping up Davis value this way…it doesn’t jump him up to where I’m paying him the neighborhood he’s looking for.
