IDK what we do about McKee. Seems like a waste of talent to keep him as a BU. Trading him is an option, but with Hurts "agreement" IDK what Lurie expects Siri to do. We won "scrapers" early in the year, but that was before we knew about this agreement that Hurts isn't going to bust anymore and will skate doing the minimum possible. Hurts waited for the big money, now Howie is stuck with him

Just endless #Hurtshater…keeps you consistent at least as pining for every backup QB option we’ve had over/instead of Hurts.

Becton at G and FJ at T would work for sure.

Fred answered the bell for us fantastic…but he isn’t the main answer.

No doubt here.

that's not what you said, and you know it, tinkerbell. so, save your typical delusional, circle jerk debate.

you said this ....

so, the season after the eagles just win a SB, you don't want a repeat.

just admit that you made a dumb statement or worded your post very poorly and move on.

(disclaimer - i know you won't)

Stated my goal IS to repeat! So meaningless wins early but only fielding a paper tiger when it matters at the end does nothing real positive for me at all.

I admit you didn’t comprehend…starting 10-1 collapsing to can’t even be competitive versus the worst playoff team is a major fail in my book.

I don't even understand how having a WINNING season is UNDERachieving???? Many teams would love that?

No…you clearly can’t comprehend this!! It shows. Not how I judge success anywhere in that. Like Vikings last season tied us for regular season record. Fairly successful for that Vikes team that wasn’t anything legitimate as a contender. So good coaching….bad team 14 wins…nothing postseason. Like 2021 Eagles Hurts carried to make the playoffs. Success for that capped out low talent team. But goal is Champion!

Gmen that were last seed to make the playoffs that went on to beat the undefeated Pats winning the SB. That totally works for me. Not the other way around.

Bottom line(for me personally) After the "Hurts is not going to run" agreement that was disclosed, it's not hard to see why Barkley and the birds are having a rough year on offense. If teams know Hurts is not going to run, they plan for that as they know he is only a middle of the road passer. That is like Ali tying his right arm behind his back for the George Foreman fight. With no running game(because you can shut off that spigot) and Hurts being mediocre it's not difficult or complicated to see why the offense struggles. With a QB who chose to remove his best attribute and who knows after Howie invested in him, to be a QUITTER has to have a profound affect on the rest of the team. Hurts got his ring, the big money and played Howie for a fool. Hurts has lost all of my respect. He can get it back if he changes his tune, but right now I don't care if the QUITTER plays or not. I would be fine benching Hurts and playing a QB who has the drive to WIN. Does Siri have the balls to do this? Was Lurie aware of this "agreement"? Is there a Hurts contract clause for "agreements outside this contract"? Right now if we traded Hurts I wouldn't care at all. I want this team to WIN and everyone to contribute, but that's not happening when you have a QUITTER at the key position on the field. It's like slapping the other 52 in the face and laughing about it. Just pathetic. The fans egged the wrong house. In the early season games the defense bailed the O with Hurts producing the minimum needed to win, now they are tired men because the offense can't sustain a drive. Hurts is losing this team. We have plenty of talent being wasted by a QUITTER. Difficult for Patullo to run an offense with a QUITTER. Maybe it's time for FALCO(because we need HEART). Rant over

You actually just made the case for Hurts importance and our teams complete reliance on him to win.

Contending…it’s a word you need to grasp. Doesn’t apply at all to early regular season.

I mean hurts not wanting to run is shame since his legs are his best asset. And likely would help the ground game more…. But I also don’t fault Hurts for the OL failures this year not being able to win blocks upfront. We are just losing 1 on 1 battles on the lines…. Saquon getting hit 50% in the backfield isn’t just Hurts not wanting to run plenty of team run well without a mobile QB

Isn’t this just an extension of exactly what Siri was preaching to Hurts as his sole coaching point in 2023?

4 hours ago, Bleedinggreen93 said:

To be somewhat fair to the OL they just are not healthy. Landon was injured preseason and rushed back for week 1, Cam had been in and out of the lineup, and Lane obviously.

Steen been alright but clearly not the same caliber run blocker as Becton.

Malaita has been the real head scratcher for me though lot of stupid mistakes this season from him and clearly not been playing well wonder if he is trying to cover more for Dickerson???

Cam and Dickerson really could attribute wear and tear from playing here. Brotherly Shove…single handedly takes pounds of flesh.

Doing what they did last season setting the rushing record took its toll on them.

Yes you don’t understand how 2023 was terrible coaching and fire-able more than anything else. Winning 10-1 just proved Siri had the team enough. Not even being competitive against lowly TB there was no real excuse for a coach to exist with a team that did that.

Side note I missed on the run game heard Geodart has been quite bad this season as a run blocker which is uncharacteristic for him since he was generally one of the better blocking TEs in the league

Moved to more Dotson in versus that blocking Slot or second blocking TE

Why do we even have Dillon?

Was telling you that you were overvaluing that signing.

He always contending…whether it’s McNabb or several others. He made Mahomes! Mahomes proven to not even be real coachable. Really just how key was that AR drafted Travis Kelce?

So 2005 to 2012... that 8 year period... 3 playoff wins, 4 years outside the playoffs, that's always contending?

3 hours ago, GreenbleedinNC said:

Why would the squealers cut him? I mean this late if he wasn't even a suitable BU for them

One man’s fit elsewhere doesn’t always equate to potential somewhere different

Just no doubts we draft Travis Kelce if AR doesn’t snake him from us.

Hunh? Do you even have a clue? We took Ertz instead of Kelce! Really, you are that clueless?

Because AR left

DeAndre Hopkins was my guy that draft I was all about

You are aware the Eagles drafted Ertz 28 picks before the Chiefs drafted Kelce, right????????

Cook what about say Becton. He really isn’t working out in LA…wasn’t working in Jersey….but Stout knew exactly how to maximize him. We miss him…while they seem ready to bench him and go in another direction.

I like Becton. He needs a STUD OT next to him though. Chargers PAID him….so is he worth THAT contract? I’d say probably not. Definitely not without a stud OT next to him. For a restructured contract, I’d love to see him back in Philly.

Brown, Mailata, and Dickerson combine for 10 of the team’s 20 false starts this season

AJ top 20 flagged player for penalties this season

Do you believe Hard Knocks is playing any factors?

Having that show and media all up in our team really will try to stir up drama.
