They got one WR....no RB. They are way more susceptible to having injury change them. They are already starting behind us.

April 23, 20241 yr This is what I the cap looks like with cutting Bradberry after the season ( using post June 1, 2025 designation) and restructuring AJ. Opens up $27 mil of cap space just with those 2 moves ....this is cap space combined in years 2025 & 2026.
April 23, 20241 yr If you look at the team... it's definitely set up to take the dead cap hit for Hurts starting in 2027... if needed. Team looks in good shape having everyone on the books. Jurgens should be the guy getting extended after this year... Carter after that. So cap space not an issue. Just need to get the players in here and perform.
April 23, 20241 yr Author I like Arnold at CB. I would move up for him. Maybe a slight move for DeJean. Both would be a stretch for Howe, but I'd love to have either

Both would be a stretch for Howe, but I'd love to have either I don't think a stretch for Howie at all. It seems Surtain was a target along with a few other CBs. I just don’t think they give up too much additional assets for a CB. They have said they believe in the passing game.... QB, OL, DL, WR and CB would be their draft priorities. They have had needs on the lines and like to prioritize that first. But I absolutely believe that they would go CB if their target was there. I still think it's going to be OL simply because I feel they are more comfortable trading up for one. Or trading further. I'm expecting them to pick in the high teens.
April 23, 20241 yr I like Arnold too GB, a lot more than Wiggins. DeJean not far behind Arnold but better than Wiggins. Moving up for Arnold would cost way more than DeJean, and we'd still have ammo to make a move for Guyten. I'd be happy, happy with those 2. Know they say Guyten not as good as a temp RG, but to train behind Lane for the takeover in the long run. Then grab an Edge, TE, RB, draft is deep at WR.

Yeah I have OT at 50 if Howie will make the jump for Arnold. He should be right around where the Jags pick so IDK if they would give him up. Dejean would be less of a lift/sacrifice? I would have NP with nice OT/G. I just want to stop the 2nd rate secondary draftees. Howie has done a nice job getting FA's,but sometime he won't be as fortunate,so I would like some youth to come in

Howie has done a nice job getting FA's,but sometime he won't be as fortunate,so I would like some youth to come in I try not to force things when looking at the draft. Filling holes or just worrying about other years and pigeonhole a DB just because of emotion of years past ...not what I like. Nor did I ever like when they seemed to rate linemen way higher than studs AR other positions either. Looking at the draft it seems like this year OL or CB should fall right in line with where we pick with some targets that we could move up slightly for. To me the Alabama kid seems to check all the boxes. Road grader run blocker that can start out playing RG and create a phenomenal run blocking OL. That leads to less relying on our QB passing. Which to me is a good thing. We can keep the ball away from the other team...it helps the defense too. I'm not sure one CB who plays in a rotation has that impact. If the guy is also the long tern replacement for Lane...then it's a home run. The back 7 I feel like we need multiple pieces... so with one pick...I think this kid from Alabama would impact the game more.
April 23, 20241 yr Raiders GM talked of moving up…but also of moving back…but only so far. Raiders are at 13. By his statement if judge is as being too far.
April 23, 20241 yr But I just hope they get their guy. Hopefully getting Rodgers reinstated today doesn't change anything. If they liked a CB better...then stick with that pick.
April 23, 20241 yr Because you draft a kid he is under team control for a while. Having Isaiah Rodgers for 2024... could only be this year, so it shouldn't change anything. Even if this DeJean kid is also a return man similar to Rodgers.
April 23, 20241 yr Danial Jeremiah has this Ennis Rakestraw, CB Missouri to us. I respect Jeremiah but this is a really meh pick - the guy's avg at best
