You just said a few days ago that Manning got his stats in the dome.  Showing he struggled in cold weather vs New England... I said that their defense was really good then, probably was a huge factor... then you said sure, but playing in the dome helped.  

If it helps the passer being in good weather... then its worse for the defender.   Can't have it both ways.    The Wr absolutely wants the better weather, less wind etc.. makes it much asier to throw and catch.

Making those cuts as a CB reacting on the outdoor slick field can be punishing. That’s the area I was highlighting a CB has to deal with.  A WR knows where and when he’s going to plant and cut. CB has to react on the fly. It’s a challenge.

Yeah I wimped out on the streaking…felt like a safe call Rosie wouldn’t dare draft a CB.

The fields were great with the snow... soft landing.   The wind and the snow coming down was the issue.    I used to shoot hoops in the driveway after finishing cleaning it.  Ball would go in the snow on the grass.  But that was ok.     We used to play hockey out there... which now I think about it was crazy... half snow, ice...and half the road was paved some. Sprint... slow... slip...etc.  Lucky none of us ever hit our heads on the pavement.  

Really just a ton of great fits league wide pretty much. So many teams got their guy.

The weather is different than the field.  the weather in the air... wind coming off of the lake ... that's the air.  The worse it is, means worse for the QB throwing and the WR catching.  You are describing just a slippery field... but saying the weather in the air is clean.  That wasn't what I saw on highlights

I did some insane sledding. Those runner sleds. So fast had tears going straight back from my eyes. Swear it felt like I was going fifty miles per hour. Balls to the wall!

Come on... the way the draft was falling.  I think the OT from Alabama was their guy... maybe the OT from Washington.   But the way it was going, the CBs were there.   The issue we have had here is they seemed to only have Surtain targeted before... otherwise, not sure CB was the right play in a while.  This year seemed it was a very realistic option.  

They believe in the passing game.... QB, lines, WR and CB.

The Arnold pick was great for the Lions as well. They have his teammate they drafted last season in the Secondary Branch. Should really speed up their cohesiveness. Lions look real tough. They are looking like the team to beat in the NFC this season. Just feels like they’ve taken a step forward each year here lately.

I had both top two CBs going in the top ten. Thought maybe Quinyon could slide because he’s small school kid. But never believed to 22. I was really sweating it there the last few picks.

And now they have to play with expectations!   Guys getting paid too!   Much different.   They absolutely had the chip on their shoulder last year.  They should win the division, but we shall see.  They play Dallas so go beat them!!!

LOL... it was entertaining.    The way the board was set up... everyone went up to get their QBs.  We knew the first few WRs were coming off... the TE lasted to 13.  A couple OTs.  At some point I was assuming some DL were going to come off.  I realize it wasn't necessarily the " need" for us. but the league still values DL.  You have to figure a few would go.   I think you value the CB a little more than the normal fan.  But I have seen both of those CBs considered top 12 prospects. 

I had NFL.com on while the draft was on as I was watching the Sixers... they have him ranked 21st.  with Arnold 24th... they are top 2 CBs.

They played with expectations last season. I see them as hyper focused on winning the NFC as their goal. They are hungry and driven. Not sure any other team has that going for them driving them more than the Lions. Hopefully it’s our Eagles that are the team that can match those ambitions like them. Think we have a much larger added chip on our shoulders.

On CBS they had Mitchell and Arnold as top available for what seemed half the draft.

It's 2024 now... agree last year they were the hungry team.   Now they are the established team... absolutely the favorites now.  Their WR is no longer the late pick, he is the highest paid guy ...for now.  So we shall see how that works.  Much different to play when teams are now circling that game on their calendar instead of thinking that could be a team on the rise.  

We gotta deal with Daniels in DC now every college player named him as the most difficult to deal with. He’s freaking fast and slippery. He’s a problem.

Lions came on strong in 2022. Weren’t sneaking up on anybody in 2023. They had high serious goals last season. It was all about having to take down the Niners though. You think Lions overtook the Niners this season with the higher target on their backs?

I think the Lions were still in a lot of people's minds... a what if?  Until they win a playoff game type of thing.  I think that hunger to break a 30 yar drought was absolutely there.   Again, now with expectations... as things go wrong... or are 10-1 but not " the standard"  it becomes different.   I absolutely expect them to be a top team in the NFC.  Lets see how they handle it now.
