I see Siri definitely minimizing risk. Week to week but needs to be for such a long season. Some would say 17 games. That wouldn’t be near enough of a plan to withstand the long haul of the NFL. 

Practices barely involve real speed physical tackling elements. Starters don’t ever play in the PS. 

Approach has been ice games away so excellent with a lead. All time elite tier I’d argue, in fact. They put pressure on opponents as a weapon if they’ve had a lead in the second half. Opponent OC/HC had to factor this in making all his decisions facing us.

But isn’t a valid point we need other teams to lose just for the chance to get the 2 seed and by the time we found out those teams lost we had already went a whole week prepping the backups as the starters for the week.

Now if Hurts didn’t blow the Chargers game different story… The bears Vic got completely outclassed by Ben Johnson ground game destroyed him and the offense could do anything…. Then we blew the Cowboys game.

If we were lined up for the 2 seed we would be in a spot of we already had or only needed to win to get it wasn’t the case we needed other team(s) to lose and us to win to get that chance.

Anyone finding possible OLB's that can be effective DE's in Fangios defense? I'm finding these positions getting more blurry every year(AKA hybrids) Maybe it's just me losing brain cells

The reason I ask is we're looking at guys like Mesidor. Is he an "edge" an OLB or hybrid??

Been looking more at this kid we brought in. The scouts know what they are doing. He is basically a block first TE with tremendous upside. The excellent sticking point for me, was they trusted this kid on the final play of the ND game. You don't get your number called to make the game winning catch like that for no reason. Shows me he can handle the pressure of the NFL game. I love the fact that with all our other needs he is not a kid that's going to break the draft bank. He is solid with enough upside to take over TE1 duties. Not sure if that is doable after a year, but I would not bet against it either. My thoughts are to address other spots(yes I love Stowers, but that is a high draft pick and he is going to be a fine TE for someone.) I would love to have Stowers if we didn't need to fill other gaps. Sadly we need like 8 round 2 picks HAHA. So if I had to sacrifice a position in this draft, I would put TE on more of a back burner. As a biased TE myself I should be wanting a TE high, but putting that aside for the good of the team, I love this Boerkircher kid for us. He is already on my mock, but I may need to move him up from 178 to 153.

Too much of the wrong mentality here. We should have won with the guys we had on the field anyway. More talented than what Washington had out there. That was an easy gimme last game of the season.

You can’t really say I’m just talking out of hindsight either. I was pumping two seed all the way up until we blew it.

IDK we have put off getting Lane's replacement for too long. IMO that time has arrived. FJ is fine as a BU, but we need the next pro bowler. Our offense runs through the O line and while Warren would be a nice parting gift for Fangio I can't see him going first for us. Many ways to play this. The lingering question of AJ staying is HUGE. Nice deep WR draft. OT,S,WR,edge, all on the table at 23. Going to be boatloads of fun watching Howie move around this time. If AJ goes and others on 1 year deals would not shock me if we took 2 WR's in this deep class
