Why taking a RB in round 1 is financial suicide

It really doesn’t make much sense at all when factoring in the huge salary at that draft spot.

Usually you hear about GMs having cheaper options on their rookie contracts. Love blasted away the highest paid at his position.

14 mil more than any other vet is crazy

It feels really just dumb. Not even judging him as not good or anything like that. No version he can live up to that salary. Even if he’s All Pro….still overpaid. Crazy!

To understand the Manning offense NFL scheme, consider these key elements:

  1. Quarterback Role: The quarterback is pivotal, often making quick decisions and reading defenses.

  2. No-Huddle Approach: The offense frequently employs a no-huddle strategy to maintain tempo and pressure on defenses.

  3. Spread Formation: Utilizes a spread formation to create space and mismatches against defenders.

  4. Quick Passes: Emphasizes short, quick passes to exploit defensive weaknesses and minimize sacks.

  5. Running Back Involvement: Running backs are actively involved in both the running game and as receiving threats.

  6. Pre-Snap Motion: Uses motion to confuse defenses and gain insights into their coverage schemes.

If followed and EXECUTED, Hurts should be able to handle this, If he cannot,it's going to be a rough start

wait, are you bringing up fantasy football rankings?

There are plenty of capable mouths to feed..here. Pats thin. Yet AJ just a couple of spots ahead of Smitty. Says so much. Especially telling about the expectations of Hurts with an actual O mind.

Ham... when you look up AJ on the fantasy football rankings....what team does it show him playing for?

You understand that if a player changes teams that the rankings change? Or does that part that a 5 year old would comprehend get missed?

And he apparently more clueless about fantasy than in real football

He isn't highest paid. Stop it. You ate using Guaranteed money...which in a total ( at the moment) it shows him. But at what point is he the highest paid in any single season?

Whether money is guaranteed or not... it does change the value of the money.

He is 7th ....at 13.25 / year. Not first...7th.

No version he can live up to 13.25 mil per season? From 2026- 2029? Really?

He is elite before he even get into the pro ranks, Smith and Smith with Lemon would be.........................WOW. Keep your eyes on Sayin and Manning at QB when the college season rolls around https://www.pff.com/draft/big-board?season=2027

Hopefully he does well I still think Elliott needs competition he hasn’t been good the last 2 seasons

Saquon was 10th in rushing yards last season as well with how bad the run blocking was from the OL. This is after having a 2k season the year prior

Doesn’t feel like Saquon is past his prime at all feels like the OL was terrible last season. Even when Saquon did get blocks you see the explosiveness still there.

Felt like he showed the wear and tear of that super season hangover. Like soooo many. Dickerson and Cam….just kerplunked! Actually very likely pushed them past their prime years in their careers. Saquan was missing some reads and just wasn’t on it the same last season. You know….really earlier in the season especially. Thought he looked ready to get on a tear at the end with good timing.

That’s why it’s so easily understandable that Hurts couldn’t sustain that pace last season again. Gotta be smart going about everything. Really thought he handled everything very well. Looked ready to make a run at repeating…if only his O supporting players would have backed him up just a little. Heck…just not completely screwed up actually.

Saquan is definitely past his prime. Not a used up bum… but not having that 2025 season ever again. RBs…the wheels just tend to fall off one day…and it’s over. Be huge if Saquan had one more great season in him. I’m a doubter to be honest.
