If you had only one returner on this new KO. Then had two guys at the 30 outside the hash…on the same side of the field together….technically the would fall under forming a wedge. That’s really the only way it could be done. But could they really flag that…under these rules?

They wouldn't flag that on the old rules either.

13 QBs making 40 mil or more. Trevor Lawrence and Tua yet to sign. So basically half the leagues QBs. Just the price you gotta pay a QB at this point.

I don’t think this is very cool…hopefully Shipley just thinks it’s funny.

Not like I all know Shipley personally….but I wouldn’t think he’d appreciate this. I sure hope they ran it by him first before releasing this TShirt joking his drawing. Rookie or not.

Lol.... yeah, only getting higher...that's why you pay early and if it doesn't pan out it's OK.

Yet paying early …then the players aren’t happy once the prices go up. We had to pay AJ again. Signed Reddick to a great deal….but then end up paying 21.5 mil in dead cap money on him this season

Just showing there are both sides…not everything being Rosie by signing early.

We paid AJ because it was " paying him early" to keep the cap hit low.  We didn't " have to pay him"...lol.

Did Reddick get a new deal yet?

Go add up the cap costs as to what Reddick cost us.

You can't get over the hump of understanding how ' dead cap" when used correctly... actually creates more cap space.

Your mind goes into all these complicated places, but can't go to see this???

So are you denying that any players end up regretting the contracts they accept early…then want to get a raise before their contract is up? That’s just the point I’m attempting to make …as the downside of paying guys early, potentially.

You see disgruntled employees develop from paying a guy early…that actually ends up playing well and he believes outplaying his contract. Then they hold out, demand a raise or trade. There is a downside also is the very obvious point. That’s just considering the actual good or even great signings. Then you add in the actual bad signings.

I think we did have to pay AJ. I think we signed Reddick incredibly cheap…backloaded the cap hits …forcing us to give him away for peanuts.

Who gives a crap... the bruthas need o understand the time value of the money and that's why the agents get them paid early.

I've gone through this a few times with you showing where the player can't catch up if they wait to get paid.  Doesn't matter if the number is higher, they won't get back the lost pay from the year or two before if they wait to get paid

Take Dak for instance.  He didn't get paid year 4.   Right now he should have been paid twice big money...and big  contract #3....not big contract #2.

By signing early, you start the cycle of getting paid early.  Look at AJ... signed going into year 4... now signed going into year 6.   Already got the pay days.

Dak 4 cheap years a tag year and then the big contract going into year 6.

Reddick has no regrets... he wasn't going to get more money anywhere.  He found that out this year.  The Eagles made a good business decision not falling into the trap of thinking 2022 was the norm for Reddick. That was a fluke year with 8 turnovers...last year just one.  They went younger and got a draft pick.   No cap difference for 2024, and save on his future cap hit.

I think you like the Hollywood TMZ part of life...your mind can wander.  The numbers and facts you find to limiting.  Reality limits your mind from wondering...it's why you refuse to spend 20 minutes to understand the contracts.

So having Reddick play disgruntled in just the second year of his contract then being forced to trade our best D player for peanuts before his third season you consider a positive?

Seems like you are trying to make the point  it has been better for AJ to get paid as the top player at his position as early as possible. Well…duh.

Kayvon Thibodeaux

Denico Autry

Jonathan Greenard

Montez Sweat

Justin Madubuike

Danielle Hunter

Are you paying all these guys ... the amount Reddick thinks he is worth?  Because all of them,  along with 8 other guys had more sacks than Reddick.

And sacks is the only thing Reddick brings to the table.  Poor run D.  Bad coverage skills.  Didn't create turnovers

So personally... I don't give a crap if a player thinks he is better than he is and should get paid more.  The reality of the situation is what matters.  Reddick misread the market.  That's his fault.  But he wasn't going to get paid any more ...that's reality.

The Eagles didn't low ball...they made a smart decision not to overreact and overpay simply because of a fluke season.  And by the reality,  no other team was going to do that either.

That's not a negative result of signing Reddick early...that's a player not in touch with reality.

You were trying to make the opposite point.   That the players shouldn't get paid early because then they complain.  You tried to make it sound like the Eagles were forced to pay AJ this year...instead of seeing how its a great deal.

6 years $132 mil of cap hits... 27 and 29 mil in 2028 and 2029.    He is a top WR in the league... 6 years 22 mil avg cap hit... now take a look around the league and understand why the Eagles weren't forced to do anything...it was simply good business.

And understand overpaying Reddick wouldn't have been good business.

But... your boy Fangio, probably could have talked them into it ....but obviously he didn't see the need either.

And...  what are their ages...and the run defense, coverage skills and turnover creations?

And... would you pay all these guys?  ALL OF THESE GUYS. DON'T CHERRY PICK TO SPIN IT.

We paid Bryce Huff the money instead…who had less sacks…in his breakout season even. Huff isn’t good in coverage or versus the run either.

Did we pay Huff $20- 25 mil...or the money Reddick wanted?   That's what we paid Huff?

I missed that part.

Reddick’s had 50 SACKS over the last four seasons. How many players have delivered more sack production than that?

I mean... if we kept Reddick...vs making the trade... that is the same cap hit either way for 2024... so we didn't pay anyone else instead.

And we certainly didn't pay the money Reddick was asking for.

I’ll assist you here…only three players have more sacks over the last four years.
