That’s just the point I’m attempting to make …as the downside of paying guys early, potentially.

There is a downside also is the very obvious point. That’s just considering the actual good or even great signings. Then you add in the actual bad signings.

You tried to make it sound like the Eagles were forced to pay AJ this year...instead of seeing how its a great deal. 6 years $132 mil of cap hits... 27 and 29 mil in 2028 and 2029. He is a top WR in the league... 6 years 22 mil avg cap hit... now take a look around the league and understand why the Eagles weren't forced to do anything...it was simply good business. I mean... if we kept Reddick...vs making the trade... that is the same cap hit either way for 2024... so we didn't pay anyone else instead. And we certainly didn't pay the money Reddick was asking for.
