There was no way around having Reddick being " disgruntled "  unless we overpaid.

That's reality.

And you aren't taking consideration as to WHY the player was disgruntled or unhappy.   Because the league...all 32 teams don't want to pay him.   The player isn't in touch with reality.  Not the team's fault.

Not forced to trade .... again... you like to spin things.

You could make your argument if Reddick got paid.  He didn't.  So what did he gain by being traded?  Zero.  So no " forced" trade.  Sorry...doesn't make a good TMZ story when it's simply a team making a business decision.

So we could have kept Reddick being a good idea under the circumstances this season? Or was it effectively a forced trade situation? Why would we have traded our best defender for years from now third round pick? That’s a terribly bad trade. But at least more understandable with it being a forced situation.

Reality is what looked to be a great signing…didn’t quite turn out nearly as good as it looked initially. Getting the great pass rusher cheap….ended up giving us an unhappy player in just the second year of this contract. Forced to trade him for very little,in NFL standards, before we even got his third year playing for us.

Just don’t want to hear about how we should be a contending top team…and how it’s all Jalen Hurts fault we aren’t …when  we pretty much gave away our top pass rusher. Would we be a better team with Reddick this year? Clearly YES! So let’s not act like our team is ‘all in’ looking to compete for a championship this season. The move was getting younger and rebuilding under new coordinator schemes for the future. 10 win team…hopefully.

Looking towards the future…yet signed a vet RB to big positional money contract. Those shouldn’t really go together in my view. Think you make the move like the Niners did. They brought in McCaffrey on a conte ding team trying to win it all being ‘all in.’

To note I’m clearly the biggest fan of day two of the draft. Because I believe we trade our best pass rusher that will reach double digit sacks. So on that part of the deal it will be a second round pick. But the snap count can so easily fall short. Just have to see how it works out. Jets are ‘all in’ this season. But 67.5 percent of the snaps is fairly easy for the Jets to go under on. We over used Reddick for 74 percent of the snaps this past season. That’s with our rotation breaking down…career ceiling of possible Reddick snaps being: 74.

Bryce Huff 42 percent of the snaps…for comparison.

Does Huff cover KOs for us?

Reddick was one of three players to record 6 or more pressures in 8 games in 2023 (M. Parsons, J. Allen).

But according to No Mas wasn’t worth half price top pass rusher pay last season.

So... this is where we see things differently.

1. I don't think Fangio has the same opinion of Reddick as you do.

2.  You somehow seem to either try to make it seem the Eagles fault for Reddick  not understanding his value...or skip over the fact that the entire league wasn't going to pay him. Reddick being disgruntled has nothing to do with the way the Eagles do contracts,  it's his personal situation to where he doesn't see reality.

3.  I like the 2026 pick.  From the Jets, absolutely think they make one run with Rodgers... so I think the pick will be higher in 2026.  Also it's the best odds for Reddick to reach 10 sacks as he needs to play for his next contract.

4.which brings us to snap count.   Will Reddick get enough to make it a 2nd round pick in 2026?    But more importantly, where were the snaps Herr in Philly?   He logged a lot of snaps.  Took away from the other guys.  With Sweat and BG taking up some of the snaps...how do you fit in Huff, Smith and Hunt?    You gotta give them some snaps.

I see you looking at 2022 and desperately thinking that's the Reddick we will get.  I don't see it.  It was a fluke season via the schedule and the pathetic offenses we faced.

You also love the nicknames... " the closer"  lol.    You love that whole vibe that makes the Hollywood story.   The closer didn't show up in 2023.  Carter and Cox were better overall defenders in 2023.  That's reality.

I'm also not desperate to validate the QB like you are.  You need all in at every position...mortgage the future etc.   I don't.  They got the key guys locked up.  I'm not overpaying Reddick, not taking a good draft pick...and stunting the growth of the young edge guys simply to try to get back 2022 " the closer"

2 years 32.2 mil.  Is 16.1 mil.     3 years 45 mil...is 15 million

So you are saying $1.1 million difference changes the whole thing.   But in the same breath you say he was absolutely worth 16.1 million last year?  Last year... without talking the excellent 2022 season which was way better?

Ahhh there it is.... the whole looking to resolve Hurts from blame.... thus needing to make up stuff about Reddick.

5000 snaps 10 sacks...one turnover... brought in younger dude who played way less snaps, same production...plus a pick and now have the opportunity for the other guys to grow.

Not a choice of the current DC...but yet the wrong move...lol.

Why...because we can't blame Hurts for anything...lol.

But " I wanted Wentz to be the Savior" ...he was ok with John Hightower...etc... but we gotta give Hurts everything....the guy who " is the best QB in franchise history "

Come on man.....always the agenda. It's pathetic now.

Yea...compared the sacks.

I think you are really jaded by your relationship with Hurts.  It messes with all of your logic.

Wow.... you know what I noticed... 32 teams seem to agree with No Mas.

No Mas sets the numbers for the league... that's the reason 32 teams didn't want to pay Reddick or offer more for him?

The Eagles were " forced"   lol.

And 74 % of the snaps was part of the reason to let him go.  He can't play that much and also have us get the young guys going.

He shouldn’t have been overused in such a poor rotation that you are criticizing him over.

That technically  is 66.6 percent. Two thirds of the snaps would be exactly the amount to screw us in fact.

Siri called Reddick The Closer…because he closed out two games with big plays. He earned that..the hard way.

Fangio wanted to move on... let it go.   It's about what he can do at his age and going forward, not about the past.   Remember you complaining about 2019 ... this is the opposite, you got what you wanted in philosophy.

Again though... you can disagree with their decision on players, has nothing to do with how they write contracts.  Paying early and using void years, backloaded, dead cap...all in their favor.  It was decision to move on from Reddick.
