Cox will be missed... that's my concern.  DL must stop the run first and create passing situations.  Not worried about a Mike Mamula stat as much.   Almost is great in horse shoes or hand grenades... " pressures" is also an subjective stat.   Reddick didn't force the QB into many mistakes last year... IDK what to tell you, you fall in love with a player and you lose all logic

This is what Trump always referred to as fake news. I have very little problem separating business from the emotional attachment to players. It’s fairly easy for me to compartmentalize. BG I am attracted to for so many reasons over the years. He’s a guy I noticed could be a quality effective player pretty early on. Most bashed him and labeled him as a bust. He came through and made huge franchise plays for us…such a massive play strip sacking Brady for our title. But yet…I would have let him go last year or this offseason. Think he signed for four mil this season though. So at that price I see his value. Strictly business there though. Emotionally he’s worth 30 mil…but for our 2024 Eagles 4 mil is a good number to retain his veteran leadership. (This is not all getting into the backloaded cap situations revolving around him)
Pressures is an important stat in the pass rush. It matters. Affects the game. I thought Reddick was our best defender. So several years down the line third round pick in exchange doesn’t sit great with me.  Pressuring the QB is what we need from the pass rush. Now can I place all on the blame on pass rushers because we couldn’t cover ANYBODY…EVER…last season? No…just much more objective than trying to spend an agenda around licking Rosie’s nuts.

Seems like like you are extremely emotionally to some players. Very driven to hate on Hurts…while cryingand still bringing up defending Wentz.

Again... what was your plan with Reddick?     Distract and spin...etc.    I use Wentz because in your own words " I wanted him to be the savior"  .. when the team sucked... now supposedly you say Hurts is better, yet he needs everything???   Doesn't add up.

Wentz was great for us... got us to the doorstep ... we won,  Then we got all the picks on his way out.   Same with Reddick here... Same with Foles who got us the high 3rd round comp pick on his way out.    players come and go... we move on.  Really doesn't matter to me the credit or the blame they get... do the job and move on.

It's the difference between " investment return"  and "investor return"  ... all that matters at the end of the day is the " investor return"    Good return for Reddick... the 2 years of play for $32.2 mil... and the pick.  i'd do that every year, we would keep getting the edge position filled at an alternate level of elite and solid... and keep getting an extra day 2 pick.    Just like I would do the New Orleans trade every year... had zero to do with the rif raf TMZ looking at the idea of using the picks to move up for a QB.   Good business is good business.

Business isn't personal.  Numbers and facts.

BG wasn’t the guy I thought we should have drafted over a certain S however. But I don’t get emotional about it.

Hurts ,and every player on our team, need everything to win it all…I do see things that way.  This is accurate.

Again... blah blah and yet no answer to my specific question as what you would have done with Reddick... have a good night, too much to do to keep wasting my time with someone who never answers a direct question and keeps spinning the subject.

Contract is different that player decision.   The Eagles have money... they pay anyone they want.  They didn't want Reddick.  I don't care about who Phil from Delaware wants to blame for anything... you shouldn't either.  Hurts needs to play QB... not rush the opposing passer... so any blame he gets shouldn't involve anything on defense.

Howie is good with contracts... not in love with his drafts or some other things he does.    Hurts does zero wrong... yet Howie is the one getting his nuts licked?    LOL

Like Mahomes had everything ... like not fumbling the ball to the otehr team for a free 7 points.  I agree

What's your plan with Reddick?   The GM genius that you are?

Mahomes had what? 7 TDS and 5interceptions winning the last SB

Of course Mahomes has a D and a LB to have made a play….

But I think Mahomes is more gifted player than Hurts. Million times better coaching.

Why won’t he have screens and The Brotherly Shove? I’m completely expecting us to utilize these this season.

Back to the predictable offense for you???

Patrick Mahomes had 26-of-42 passing, 286 yards, two touchdowns, two interceptions, 78.1 passer rating, sacked four times, one rushing score, two fumbles.

Arizona ran all over us..again and again and again…all day.

Yep,the collapse was in full swing as the team quit on their "leader"

You aren’t getting rid of those plays…but clearly need to add more to them. Obviously…I thought anyway.

Blockers…block for the returner…c’mon man. Blockers block. Kicking team tackles. You’re going backwards.

So if blockers block, then WHO is making this so called angle of attack if they are busy blocking?

O put up 31 points…D was gassed and done. That "leader” is Rosie they quit on. He undercut any show of power or control any coaches have over the team. Train wreck Rosie orchestrated starting not long at all after the SB last offseason.

A wedge is the blockers holding hands....doesn't really seem difficult to avoid...for 2 reasons

1. The returner will catch the ball around the 5 or so...the blockers will be 30 yards in front of them and be short handed 9 vs 10.  It's not really bunched like the old school kicks where the blockers could run back and form a wedge.

Idk it seems you are missing the concepts of the positioning of these guys.  They aren't going to be raising their hands to block a kickoff and they are 5 yards away from the kicking team who is going to move first. That's about 2 or 3 strides.  It's basically going to be a spread out OL type of blocking with the ball carrier starting deeper with the ball.

Ok C'mon MAN!!! 2 or 3 strides is all you need for an angle of attack 🤣

Give it up man. Blockers block for the return man. The kicking team covers and tackles…avoids blocks or disengages from blocks. I’m not starting round two of this backwards discussion with you. You wish to talk anything logical…I will.

I don’t think this is very cool…hopefully Shipley just thinks it’s funny.

If you see the left tackle and the center moving forward together....do you see that as a wedge?   What do you consider a wedge?

I had a wedge,then I went commando

Not like I all know Shipley personally….but I wouldn’t think he’d appreciate this. I sure hope they ran it by him first before releasing this TShirt joking his drawing. Rookie or not.

UH HE drew it LMAO

It’s making fun of his drawing they got him to do as a funny little test. A whole different thing making T shirts  making fun of him. I’d make fun of myself…so I’d be fine if they made fun of me with my pathetic drawing. But most people aren’t like me. Most people don’t want to be made fun of.

So if I made up tons of t shirts about FL thinks the KO kicking team is full of blockers…would you appreciate everybody making fun of your ignorance of that situation?

Just don’t want to hear about how we should be a contending top team…and how it’s all Jalen Hurts fault we aren’t …when  we pretty much gave away our top pass rusher. Would we be a better team with Reddick this year? Clearly YES! So let’s not act like our team is ‘all in’ looking to compete for a championship this season. The move was getting younger and rebuilding under new coordinator schemes for the future. 10 win team…hopefully.

Reddick helped Hurts out? I'd like to know how. 12 wins or Hurts is being overpaid. In fact, he owes us from last years playoff debacle
