Eagles... the football guys Dallas ... the contract guys. I've repeatedly said...they are good getting players.... don't handle the contracts well. We don't get the right players on the same percentage. We just take more swings because our salary cap guys provide more of an opportunity by keeping more cap space open. The 2 work together.. one side F##king up ruins it. My comments have always been on which area is the weakness for each team You understand this on the field when you point out LB ...why can't you see the Dallas salary cap dept is their version of our LBs.

June 8, 20241 yr Winning a Superbowl ... an organization needs everything to work together well. Specifically doing contracts is only ONE part of that. Singular in its function. It can either aid or hinder the other departments of the organization. For the Eagles is aids the personnel department by giving them the ability to make a lot of moves. You can skip Dallas... look at any other team you want, and tell me which team benefits more from their nerds than the Eagles

You understand the concept that a band must work together to make the music for a song. Does that mean there is no such thing as comparing singers, drummers ,guitarists , keyboard players? It's similar when specifically talking about those individuals and comparing....when we compare the salary cap management/ contract writing between organizations. You have a favorite band.... are all the guys in that band your favorite individuals at their instrument?

You need to watch the games man. I do, I saw 1 read a pull it down far too often, then the called run plays. Even on a pull down and run you ALWAYS keep looking downfield. Did you miss the multiple games where guys were waving frantically for the ball???? Only to be denied?? These are the steps needed to become a complete QB. TG we have an O line or Hurts would be toast by now. Just need Hurts to become more "Mahomes like". On broken plays Mahomes is still looking to deliver the ball downfield, and I will agree Hurts is the much better runner than Mahomes,Hurts needs to use his mobility to move around IN the pocket before giving up on a pass play. I hoping the new offense being installed and camp will trigger more of this type thing. It would put Hurts in the TRUE MVP discussions, not the O line tush push victories. You may differ with my opinion, that is fine. Last year meagerly simple offense was hard to judge, now I expect it to be more open. Not expecting "air Coryell" year 1,but we should see a step in that direction. Hurts is short for a QB,he has to work a little harder to see downfield. Buying time in the pocket will do that . I know you view this as "Hurts hating". Far from it. Although it was HS I had the unique experience of learning both RB and TE. In both cases I had to block and the reasons for an offensive weapon to block? To buy time for the QB. I was the 3rd down RB. I was fast but not quite fast enough(or shifty) I was skinny for a TE at 180(which was ok in HS back then not now-see ASG's grandson lol). I wish my HS coach had gone pro. He would make players play positions totally out of their realm,so EVERYONE on the team understood what the other guys jobs were. After a few practices and him deciding player placements,we would do this for a whole week. Most of us failed terribly at our new assignments, but WOW you really got to see what other guys on the team had to do to make it work. I had to play QB once in practice. It was very ugly, but you knew what he was up against. Just saying Hurts needs to take his next NFL step. This is not hating the man,it's just what is required in the NFL

June 8, 20241 yr Author 4 hours ago, cunninghamtheman said: Hurts is telling you NOW under Moore we have what can actually be referred to as a system….for a change. Listing off what Coach Doug is teaching to run the plays. Explaining the difference from previously just getting the play written on paper…having plays called….to now being in an actual system. At first I was thinking he was comparing to last season only maybe….but really think he’s talking about his time under Siri. Been missing the system. Not just first, second, third read scramble to avoid the rush and run or pass. Details to each playcall according to the D being faced. I think Ped had a system going, except in my view Hurts wasn't the QB for it. That system favored the passers like Wentz and I don't care whos fault it was,I don't think the brass thought that system suitable for a running QB. So now we have come full circle, and I look forward to a viable system that can make Hurts progress as a passer/reader/understanding D's and making correct audibles. Any top QB(or musician in my own experience) will always tell you there are things to learn and Hurts needs to take another step. That is not hating. I just want the team to be better and Hurts is the key to the machine. We have the high performance parts installed, time to get the timing right, the spark needs to be there,we just put the best tires on the ground(Barkley) and we are idling up to the line. When the light goes green we need to drop the hammer. Hurts is driving

Year two…three can be evolved much further in this system with this group of talented players. But more short term is just not expecting a finished master piece week one. Very unrealistic. YES!!!!! Why do you view this as us being haters??? We simply stated the fact that it's time to STEP UP. IMO last year there was no "learning curve" Very simple pedestrian plays, but even those need to be executed

It really brought the team together because you learned real fast to respect what your teammates already knew, and this was just HS. I can say without a doubt I was the worst HS QB my school ever had(except for maybe the line guys that had to play it HAHAHA). So last practice one Friday and you knew where you were playing next practice. We had no computers in the stone age,so you had to read the playbook, call that guy on the phone and cram as much as possible. Monday came and you were given a new assignment for Tuesday. It really opens your eyes. It was a whole week of WTF??? LOL But I will never forget it

My comments have always been on which area is the weakness for each team You understand this on the field when you point out LB ...why can't you see the Dallas salary cap dept is their version of our LBs. I understand very clearly what’s going on with Dallas. Why they are the only comparison you can make trying to slurp Rosie’s nuts so hard for I can also understand. Easy target on the contract side of things. They are better at player selection but become rushed in Jerryh’s last old age days on the attempt to get him his last sunshine year with not paying up on the quality players they have. I don’t agree with Rosie’s way either. Just because he backloads so heavily on noncontending teams to push the cap hits back on the teams that we plan on contending with. You spend the cap dollars on the selected players and structure it in the very consistent path every time. Exactly why I see it coming and predict it years in advance this pattern. Telling you the cycle over and over again.

IMO last year there was no "learning curve" Very simple pedestrian plays, but even those need to be executed You can’t overcome everything. I’m just on the side of understanding how it wasn’t a worthy top level NFL system O last season. Frankly kind of saying pretty much not really the whole time under Siri. Think Steichen at least mixed in quality playcalling cohesion and balance to even the odds some. Without that? Hurts needs to do better. But he lost his QB coach to become an unprepared OC instead for us …under a HC that doesn’t really add value or answers. Do you really believe Hurts is just so uncoachable? Or is it the coaches weren’t giving him the quality alternatives and answers? Knowing the situation of what the D was going to do and dialing up terrible playcalls to confront it…answered the coaching failures enough to me. If they were so blind to keep calling the bad plays to counter the known D playcalls….then it’s clear they weren’t offering better checkdowns or audibles either. Siri and Johnson didn’t have the answers …but your expectations are the QB should have them over the coaches being paid to do those exact jobs?
June 9, 20241 yr I’ve been consistently questioning this stuff all last season and begging for that change this offseason. By a ridiculous amount lowest percentage O league wide in motion. Now we are going to see motion. Ridiculous low levels of the timing intermediate and quick passing game. Now we’ll see this element added. Bunch formations being added. Are these not exactly the three areas I was harping on needed to change all last season ? The exact things I was pointing out the whole time. Now the answers from an experienced OC and QB coach have been overwhelmingly being reported they are being these most obvious answers to combat things.
