August 11, 20242 yr He was so clearly on pace to be the Defensive Rookie of the Year. What happened? He completely ran out of steam. Will Anderson played a whole season and won the award instead. There was a reason he went 3rd overall and Carter dropped. Wasn’t a talent gap reason…for sure. I didn’t hear Anderson do all that talk at all…just worked his butt off and actually achieved.
August 11, 20242 yr Released LB Quarterman a move no doubt made easier by Ax Jr looking legit. Added a S Fangio drafted in Denver. Out of all these little moves the team constantly is making this one flying under the radar has done significance…more than just camp body.

You can't drop balls like Quez and stay here. Dropping balls is for puberty,not the NFL. I will call out "my boys" when they are letting me down. ASmith said "it's different than college" and that he needs to get the speed an mental part down. he admitted he had a bad day,but said I will keep working. Normally we would be patient and let him come around,but we have lots of talent,so IDK that we can afford a roster spot for "patience". it will be interesting to see if they cut him. I think they will give him one more shot to make the team. Even Covey looked better and maybe Covey should man the slot? What say you?

Hasn’t recovered to look effective since. Good idea if he still was that player. Him getting dropped early like this tells me he can’t physically perform anymore. Covey has shown more than they’ve given him credit for in the slot. As soon as he caught that pass and got tackled I told myself this guy is going to get killed if that happens again. He’s just too small to hold up to much NFL abuse. Just no magic pill to make Covey much bigger unfortunately. This is why he hasn’t been utilized more already. Saved him for quality P return duties.

But reaching for a guy that didn’t recover right from his knee surgery isn’t helping anything.

Gainwell started...did Baltimore put in better players later for Shipley?
