He needs a little work,he is rough, but at 177 he can be worked into the rotation with little cost. Cohen is fine as another OG prospect. Someone needs to step up and claim that spot for the next 3-4 years. We need to plan for kelces retirement, but I don;t think he's ready to quit yet. If we draft right and retain the right guys we could well be in the mix again next year. Hurts needs to step up his game. It's showtime and I found it comically stupid that he fell down like a little girl and even more stupid to take a sack in the EZ. We have an offense if we can find a QB who can run it. Hurts regressed, everyone saw it. Now it's time for him to grow a pair and show us why we paid him. He is capable, but will he do it? We know he lacks a big arm,but if he is accurate,he has plenty of weapons. I have not looked at the Mizz safety yet,I will do that. After Smith the options should be as BU's/prospects we can groom. Smith can start in the slot right away. I see no reason he can't. He is the top SLOT WR in this draft. Stover,Tampa and Trotter can also start. Expect rookie mistakes from them, but they need to be tossed into the fire
February 21, 20241 yr Author https://www.profootballnetwork.com/jaylon-carlies-s-missouri-nfl-draft-scouting-report-2023/ What they say about Carlies. I need more research on him,but off the top he looks like a nice prospect. Normally I don't get excited about 5th rounders. Seems he has the tools. More later

Hurts hasn’t been bad but he hasn’t been the passer we need either… We have weapons AJ/Smith /Goedart lot of teams would kill for a trio weapons like that. Then you look at KC that had the most drops in the nfl last year won a SB really all Mahomes had was Kelce and Rice(who stepped up as the year went) I want to wait and see what the new staff can do with Hurts. Rice really did step up his game. He is now a relevant weapon. he is no Hill, but he did a fine job so early, maybe he becomes the next Hill. Really nice pick and coaching

It begs the question though are thing’s different if we drafted a weapon for Wentz v hurts???? Hurts has all the weapons again teams would kill for a trio like we have yet as a passer we couldn’t get anything working was that all coaching???? I really like Moore maybe he changes things and Hurts shines but still a concern does hurts look as good if we take away the rush push from him???
February 21, 20241 yr Author I like that 2nd mock I did. The question is who do we take with pick 28? Picking up that 60 pick really makes a difference. We also have to see if Howie can do some deals for addition draft capital.

February 21, 20241 yr Again not completely blaming Hurts but he has never favored the middle of the field that is fact… I 100% believe our coaching over did the outside of and neglected the middle to the field passing game. But I’m also not sure where the line is

IDK if it was coaching or an "I got the big money" attitude shift. he regressed,it was really obvious to me. He didn't run with conviction like he did before.I understand the self preservation thing, but you gotta put out your A game.he got paid for his A game and didn't produce it

IDK if Hurts was ignoring it,or we didn't have the guys to get open and I also thought Goedert was misused, Running to the sideline for 1 yard is not using Goederts talents. The sideline is a defender and he got trapped every time, yet we kept running that stupid play over and over. Goedert needs downfield, that's his game and they ignored it. I waited all year to see this offense fire up and it never did(the passing game was sporadic and disappointing)

The push is our best play, yet TB stopped it. other teams will look to see how they did it and I expect other teams will adopt it,so can we stop it if it's used against us???
February 21, 20241 yr Author BTW Kelce really hates the tush push play. We used it too often IMO and Kelce got tired of getting piled on. I can't blame him
February 21, 20241 yr Author Not much to see on him. As a round 5 choice I'm going to say he remains in school because with another year he can be drafted higher and make more loot. he is only a soph. Need to see if he declares. if so he looks like a terrific 5th and could go higher. Has a nice knack at finding the ball and shaking things up. Seems like a solid tackler(which we need) I still would reco he stay in school(for the academics) and keep working at his craft. So until he declares, I will list him as "not available at this time". He started his football life as a WR and made the switch fairly flawlessly. As a former WR that is a big plus because you understand the routes they run,so he already has some pluses if he declares
February 21, 20241 yr Author https://www.profootballnetwork.com/taulia-tagovailoa-draft-scouting-2024/ I would have NP taking him with a 6 pick. The upside is there. Could actually be a steal there. No need to change the play book if he can work into the 2 spot. His stats are nice with no real stand out WR's to throw to. He's just tiny so his field vision would be a limitation. As they say here he can work into and adequate BU position. His play is similar to Hurts
February 21, 20241 yr Author https://www.si.com/college/missouri/football/missouri-defensive-back-jaylon-carlies-declares-for-nfl-draft He is in, Apparently that scouting report is older than dirt. he said thanks for the last 4 years so he can' be a soph(unless he failed 2 years in a row LOL) That being said,he is back on my mock as a round 5.What little there is to see looks very good. I doubt he stays a round 5 due the position he plays being highly sought after
February 21, 20241 yr Cap goes to $250 million... Eagles start with $27 mil of cap space. Cut Byard= $13 mil Extend Reddick = $11.8 mil Extend Smith = $1.8 mil Extend Dickerson = $600k $54.2 mil of cap space. Gotta wonder about the high paid slot CB who gets injured...could release him for another $7.2 mil of space. Be curious to see the moves. Draft is back burner for now, after free agency moves.

Now need to buy the right people.Plenty of loot to spend. With what you posted there are no cap issues to go bonkers about. Another great draft is needed. I will prepare myself for the fact Howie won't take Tampa or Trotter in the draft. I will be PREangry as usual, but we know he only goes line or offense in the early rounds. Howie can also pull some draft day trades for whomever he has eyes on. The extra 2 pick from the Saints could buy us a nice veteran player. I suspect a little table pounding from the new staff to get who they want
February 21, 20241 yr Author TB released Mayfield. Poor guy can't find a home anywhere. He could be a good QB if he's with a team more than a few months. I feel bad for the guy
