August 23, 20242 yr But sure let’s hold every single player to Tom Brady’s standard. How many passed the test? None. Carry on.

For me, I already know my QB can do that... I'm looking for him to be the field general and play the game with the brain. This year he should be put into this position... and I think not having Kelce there forces it... and I think not having a guy who sees him as a child be his coach...helps him. This is not an insult to his work ethic or anything else from before... it's simply a boy turning into a man. This was needed. And I'm glad Hurts is embracing it. More so absolutely wanting it! A QB coming into an actual O scheme. Players gain better understandings by being around coaches and players with that knowledge. Supply the coach that can adjust and provide X and O answers not sure who could doubt Hurts. When you have coached calling long developing plays and only providing a screen as an audible…what’s expected for the QB to do? There needs to be an O mind behind Hurts. He deserves that. You’re sitting here talking about a legend that played until he was forty describing reading a D. What 25 year old without the coaching could possibly have been doing this? Not many QBs in the entire careers ever have even done it like him.

Hopefully a season with some memories! Feels like a real thin thread holding things honestly. Just so much still lingering from Siri and the end of last season. An air of so many holding their breathes waiting for the end of last season to still raise its ugly head. Totally feel like complete negative outpouring will shower our team if we start off 1-2 or something like that. Frankly if we get stomped down in Brazil I think it will begin.
August 23, 20242 yr I mean how many times did the Hurts and Siri fracture story get drug out? How many times has the late season collapse been mentioned? Feels like that’s been on many minds. You have several stating Siri is on the hot seat. Several I guess stating Hurts has to prove whatever. Doesn’t feel like this squad is getting any fresh start. This season begins with a team starting to dig out of a hole. Fair or…well it’s just not fair clearly…but it’s the way it is.
August 23, 20242 yr We start off against the Packers and Falcons. Two NFC teams many are predicting to win their divisions.
August 23, 20242 yr According to Mike Silver of the San Francisco Chronicle, Aiyuk ending up in Washington is still a possibility.
August 23, 20242 yr Nabers admitted him and Daniels had a 10k bet for which one would be OROY. Which is not allowed

He looked at the D formation after hearing through his headset what D they were in. I’d think that was very useful for him to learn. The QB is the last guy with the pencil to change anything. That's where I want Hurts to be ....and it seems that's what he wants. The best in franchise history should be given that responsibility. Less emphasis on squats and clichés and more on playing QB. All offeaaon , it's all the reports coming out. He definitely seems more in tune and ready.... with the best weapons he has had. The QB at his best....with his best weapons. Let's go!

Again... talking about the role of the QB. Stop the spin. Also...stop lowering the bat for your guy. It's what HE wants...more control. Good for him.

I'm using Brady here because these videos recently came out...and he has credibility.
August 23, 20242 yr I'm curious....2 scenarios 1. Eagles win the Superbowl but Hurts plays very poorly or gets injured 2. Eagles pose first round of playoffs but Hurts plays phenomenal...and nobody blames him. What's more important to you. If any scenario is picked over Eagles winning .... or even given a thought, then it's a problem. An agenda.

It seems like a whole new season. But idk... I'm not one to worry about what comes with losing... to me the loss is what matters. To me we have an opportunity... every season is an opportunity.

Great video here ...especially from two former Eagles who love their former team and the current QB. This is the outside world view. IMHO Hurts needs to prove he won't turn the ball over 20 times. He was trying to do too much last year.

To me he just needs to play more old school field general and win. He shouldn't be worried about being the hero or about getting blame. Just play to win. Everything else will take care of itself.

An agenda is stating before the first game it will be Hurts fault if we don’t beat the Niners in the NFC Championship game. That’s a clear agenda.

Clearly been is agenda this offseason. I just don’t want him over correcting. Not turning the ball over is something he can clearly do. But it’s like o talked about Pickett’s PS. Felt like Pickett just knew he could take sacks and hold the ball…as long as just didn’t make bad consecutive turnovers he wouldn’t lose the backup job. But Hurts had to do so much last year. The O was mostly him escaping pressure to reset and find the target downfield. It was practically our O scheme. The main thing they seemed to work on teaching Hurts last season was to not get hit and protect himself. Pretty much a negative don’t play hard mind if mentality. Which he needed to learn more about. But he can’t overly worry about getting hit…or throwing an interception. He needs to play loose and play his game. Hurts playing loose putting it all out there is pretty unstoppable!

Trying to become and play like somebody else…especially some throwback pocket only passer ….wont work. He’s proven his game completely wrecks havoc on Ds. Keep adding to his knowledge and skill set. But play QB like Jalen Hurts. That’s good enough to go far.
August 23, 20242 yr BTW, I have first pick in my big money league.... I'm taking CMC... that's the kiss of death to SF... so I don't expect them to make the NFC title game. We didn't even get to Aiyuk or Trent Williams yet. Or the fact of the trend with the SB loser either. Last time for them, they were 13-3 and lost to KC... the next year 6-10. They had a lot of injury luck last year...and everyone was all happy and team spirit etc. Now they are in that similar place the Eagles were in last year... with some players worrying about $$ and just assuming they are contenders. Thy don't have revenge for their opponents other than KC... they have a 1st place schedule... etc. Just don't see it for them this year.

I’m not the one pumping the agenda so thoroughly. I cal it like I see things. I’ve criticized Hurts. I’ve given credit to players I’ve been harsh on. I’ve been rooting for the Eagles way before Hurts came around. But would be great if the team could win without depending on Hurts. Let you know when I see that happen…because 2022 team couldn’t do it…even with Shew who is the starter on his own team now. Should show you just how crucial our QB1 is to the team.

Just take on more control like he is talking about... with that comes more credit or blame... but als the responsibility of not trying to do too much. We don't need 17 rushing attempts in one game. We could use more Mahomes style where he runs 3 times, but you remember all 3. Que... now you want him to be Mahomes.... lol. This dude tries to learn from FORMER Giants DC... he should always pay attention to what a Brady or Mahomes say or do as far as their mindset about playing QB. That's different than sayin g he has to be them. He talks about " the Standard" that's a Hurts thing... so his standard for QB should be to try to learn from the best. That's all.

We ran on those coattails to a nice win streak for 11 weeks to start last season. To me was a tribute to a team that new how to win…more than being the most talented. The Niners fired their DC and replaced him. Which is fairly shocking move. They haven’t just stood pat thinking to just rerun things. But I mean very few have been able to roll back to back seasons on top…so McCaffrey probably sliding this season. He did just get married after all.
