September 28, 20242 yr "Hurts has been all over the map, too. He's completed 70.6% of his throws -- well above his career average of 63.8%. He is fourth in passing yards (772) and first in off-target percentage (6.5%). He is also turning the ball over at an alarming rate. Hurts' six turnovers this season are tied for second most through three weeks. He has 12 turnovers in his past nine regular-season games, the most in the NFL since 2023 in Week 13. And his seven straight games with an interception is the longest streak by a Philadelphia quarterback since Ty Detmer in 1996.”

A QB who’s overall playing a good game, making good decisions, making good plays and helping the team. But he has the one or two plays every game where he turns the ball over.

Which is literally " bad decisions" He is a guy that completes short throws and raises his completion percentage with that... ultimately it means when getting in the red zone... he can't make the mistakes at the end of the drive. His completion percentage and yards are through the short passes. I'd like to see some TD passes when the opponent knows it's coming... that's what good QBs do.

His decisions are awful(thus the picks). He has also NOT progressed on making multiple reads. Still waiting for him to graduate college

Our Red zone pass offense isn’t great and you always feel we will turn it over. 1 hour ago, GreenbleedinNC said: His decisions are awful(thus the picks). September 28, 20242 yr Author I was expecting a high scoring game vs the Aint's. Against the Bucs I'm going to assume it will be a battle of the defenses. If Lane is out it will be tougher to get Bark to the second level therefore I see more runs to the left side between Jurgens and Dickerson. I expect the right side to be an area for Goedert with possibly Calc blocking on 2 TE sets. Used correctly Goedert can beat the Bucs. Hurts is poor throwing when he runs left, but I also see him taking off on runs(without throwing) to the left side as well. With the missing WR corps it will be difficult if Bowles DT's Goedert. I'm hoping someone can fill the void in the slot spot, but it seems unlikely. So it will be an interesting game plan coming from Siri. If Carter is a beast once again like he was last week, the Bucs offense will die on the vine. Bowles will bring alot of varying blitz looks and it should be a learning experience for Hurts. I hope he is watching many hours of vid from the last debacle in Raymond James. We are more beat up than the Bucs but they DO have some players out also. It will be about who can exploit who. We should shut down the TB running game, but we need to be careful what we wish for. The secondary needs to perform and Mayfield needs to be on the run all game. I would like to see a bit more of Gainwell as a receiver since we are so weak there. 2 teams fairly evenly matched although our passing game will suffer more than usual. I think we pull another Saints, but with a slightly higher score. 24-20 birds. If Hurts turns the ball over more than once,we will lose. It would be nice to see a decent game from Dotson. No miracles, just solid play. Bark should also have a few more pass plays called for him
September 28, 20242 yr Author I would assume Dotson and Wilson out with Paris in the slot and Ross as a BU. Those are the only 4 healthy receivers we have

Covey went to IR I’d image we sign Paris to the 53 then call up two WRs because isn’t Wilson been dealing with injury as well?

September 28, 20242 yr Saints offensive tackle Trevor Penning has been fined by the NFL for his unnecessary roughness penalty from last Sunday's game against the Eagles. He engaged in a block with Darius Slay that went well after the whistle and ended up finishing on the New Orleans sideline. His fine is $11,255. Meanwhile, Khristian Boyd was also fined for an unncessary roughness (late hit) on the Devonta Smith hit. That one is a little different due to the fine not being able to exceed 10% of a player's salary cap hit for the week. It'll cost him $4,665. Lastly, Eagles safety C.J. Gardner-Johnson picked up three separate fines from the NFL for various offenses during the game, one in each of the first three quarters. It comes to the grand total of $45,021. It's the second straight week he's been fined by the league. Unnecessary Roughness (late hit) - $11,255.00 Unsportsmanlike Conduct (taunting) - $16,883.00 Unsportsmanlike Conduct (taunting) - $16,883.00

September 29, 20242 yr This injury should pretty much be the conclusion of Covey’s attempt to play on O much. Whole reason they only had him returning and not as WR because of his size/durability concerns. First catch of game three took him out. He just can’t holdup

Perhaps this whole game is "garbage time" . Great time for Ross to prove he can still play. He's worked very hard to make it back this far. Anyway we will see some new faces who can prove to us,or another team that they are worthy of at least BU roles.Moore will have to be creative and Hurts needs to be sharp in the short game. With Goedert as the #1 receiver, it's going to be a long afternoon vs Bowles defense. I still think we can win this but it will take some big effort. With less that stellar WR's I would lean on slants and buttonhooks to chip away yardage through the air.It will also be interesting to see if they stack the box against Bark daring Hurts to beat them through the air. I suspect they do just that
