Thanks @ManuManuย and @DeathByEagle.

Figured it was being cautious. I just hate that damn test. It's really not that bad...just unpleasant. Feel like I have water in my nose the whole rest of the day. ๐Ÿ˜†

Fourth COVID test today, part of pre-op for the second back surgery I'm about to have. I tested positive back in March, no major symptoms, quarantined for two weeks and after two negative tests was granted freedom again.

Medical folks here:ย  If someone has already been infected and recovered, is there a chance you can still get it? Thinking the test today was basically following protocol...was it necessary?

I hate water up my nose, and I especially hate a swab being inserted so far into my nasal cavity that my eyes water.

Its necessary. Theres been case studies where people have gotten it more than once.ย

You should build antibodies, but not everyone has a strong immune system to do that. Maybe some dont build any. Maybe some dont build enough. Maybe they just fade too quickly- I dont think anyone knows how long they last.ย

Even if in the future we find that its normal to become immune for at least a long time there are still going to be exceptions. Like, youre not supposed to get chicken pox twice and yet a lot of people have.

So, yeah its worth testing just in case youre one of those people with a sucky immune system.

ย

If youre getting the normal Q tip in the nose for 5 seconds, rather than the pipe cleaner type thing shoved through your nose to the back of your throat for like 30 seconds, you are a lucky one. Good luck either way.ย

Where did theYย get those? ย He didnโ€™t perform at the combine as he was recovering from reinjuring his ankle in the all star game and the pro day he wasnโ€™t fully recovered. ย I have seen times from his pro day from high 4.4s to 4.58. Never saw a 4.64. Ever. ย As you know, I am a UH alum. I know Ward timed in the low 4.4s at UH as a student. ย He is not as fast as the three we drafted this year but he is faster and more agile than JJAW.ย

This has him at 4.59 at his pro day.ย I believe player profiler mayย add 0.05 to pro day numbers since theyโ€™re dubious at best.ย

Pipe cleaner. ๐Ÿคฌย But only the first one seemed to last forever. The others were all only for about 4-5 seconds.

They did a MRSA test too, which was just the tips of a couple swabs around the inside of the nostrils.

hmm... our symptomatic people get the pipe cleaner to the back of the brain through the nose.

Our pre-op testing COVID test is a Qtip up the nostril. It goes pretty far up- till you feel resistance and you swirl there for 5 seconds. But its not the poke the brain test, and its a smooth Qtip type swab. I still wouldnt want it done, but its not bad at all compared to the other one.ย

I think he is faster than that and his play suggest much more agile. ย He suffered a severe ankle sprain his last year of college. ย It hampered him through about half the season but he played through it.ย Then he reinjured it in the NFLPA game. ย He was invited to the combine and gave it a shot but had to withdraw because of the ankle. The pro day was three weeks later. ย He still wasnโ€™t 100%. ย Frankly, I was worried if there was ligament damage. He is in his fourth year as a WR this summer. ย  Major Applewhite was his coach in college. ย He would talk about his humbleness, work ethic, study habits. ย I wouldnโ€™t go with those stats. ย

I like him for the same reasons I like Quinton Mikell, Corey Clements, and now TJ Edwards. ย Workers. ย Clawing their way in. ย Nothing given to them. ย Underdogs.ย

How do people not sneeze with that tickling the brain test?

My first test was a "poke the brain" test. The one today was a "poke the brain" test. But, the two that tested negative weren't as bad.

Harper with a walk-off single.

First episode of Hard Knocks they did the noose swabs on all the Charger players.ย  Was just a smaller cotton swab inside each nostril for around 10 seconds.

Casey Hayward and some others were scared it was going to be the longer one all the way back into the brain.

Good. Let him catch two 6 yard passes per series -- all day long.

Since you're in the business can you tell me why since the virus is transmitted through the air that they can't come up with a test like they have for drunk drivers?

Is this "poke the brainโ€ test in both nostrils or just one?

MRSA test was both nostrils...just the tip. COVID is only one nostril, but they get their money's worth.ย

No way mang. I have no idea how these tests actually work.ย  Gotta find someone that works in a lab for that one.ย

We should just sign 1991 Heath Sherman and hand him the ball four times per seriesย โ€” all day long.ย

Granted a speed receiver doing a 1 on 1 drill vs Douglas isn't exactly a fair fight but still.ย

He appeared to me to be using outside leverage as if he wouldย have had safety help too.ย

That said, that was a helluva stem by Watkinsย to create a ton of separation.ย If I remember correctly, that was one of his weaknesses coming out of Southern Miss.

Yup.

We just need one of Watkins/Hightower to be a competent deep threat.ย

The Eagles are just like their fans.

yeah. It looked to me like he gave a little shoulder or head fake to the corner that Douglas bit on at the top of the route that created all the separation at the end.ย

Wrong video to be putting out there to trade Douglas.ย
