I dont know if you have a new name on these boards, or are a new poster. It seems like you are a new poster. Beast didnt do anything overly wrong. Didnt attack anyone personally or anything. Its just the same pattern he had been following for years that finally ended up getting him banned on the old boards. It took a long time because it is so minor. But years and years of it added up to finally cost him.

Its always say something negative about the eagles. And immediately make a great claim about the bucs. His defense had holes, and that is by design. He doesnt care about the nuance below the surface. He will cling to the same vague generalizations over and over again. Any time anyone tries to uncover what is below the surface of those claims he will just brush it off as homerism, bias, rationalization and repeat the same general statement as if it discredits everything you just tried explaining. And will again tell you how great the Bucs are and how bright their future is.

Its different if he was just wrong about something, or just said something people disagree with. But hes done this sort of thing so many times it became blatantly obvious over time that he didnt just innocently see things differently (like e45 often does). Beast posts the way he does solely to get a rise out of his puppets in here.

Its disappointing to see him start it back up in here.

can I get your opinion on Planet 13 over in the stocks thread on CVON? If you have time Id like to see your input.

Others openly admit they make posts just to get a rise out of people.  Some do it when they get challenged,  feel attacked, you name it.  You've said some choice things in the past, I've said choice things on this board.  If being a persistent provocateur is cause for banning, then I suppose many of us are on the edge.

many of us have probably gotten warnings in the past. I know I have had a bunch. I was 1 point away from a ban at one point years ago because a mod had mercy and gave me 2 points when I should have had 3 for whatever infraction they were hitting me with.

But again, you dont seem familiar with beast's posting history. Theres a difference. A lot of us have probably purposely pushed a few buttons in a disagreement with someone at some point. Or have simply been a victim of the blog's group think gang up tactics just because they disagree with you. (To someone who doesnt know better, it appears this is what just happened to beast.)

In reality, Beast comes in each day with the sole purpose of ruffling feathers just because. And, probably finds it amusing how pathetically easily they get ruffled in here.

The blog was better when talking about politics than it has been while whining about beast. This is the issue. Even for someone like me who doesnt really get bothered by his schtick. It still brings the blog down since there are too many immature posters here who cant cope with the things he types on their computer screens. He posts and runs after a few minutes of back and forth. And the rest of us are left watching an additional 3 days of grown men crying incessantly. Then it all starts again. Over and over.

Best claims to post on many different team's boards. He does not need this one as he is not even an eagles fan anymore. He doesnt truly come here to talk eagles, or even football in general. It became a better place without him because it gave the other posters less to complain about and keeps them more on topic about the eagles instead of about beast.

You're really underrating Adams here. The guy is a flat out stud. Not saying Fitzpatrick isn't good, but Adams is on another level.

Would have loved for the Eagles to get him, but the price was always going to be extremely heavy.

Totally agree. To label him by position is underselling the guy. They didn’t trade for just a "safety.”  They traded for the ultimate defensive weapon that can single handedly change the outcome of games.

I think this is a little over the top. He’s a stud, no doubt, and arguably the best safety in football. He can play FS, SS and LB. He’s a souped up Jenkins.

I’m not trading two 1s, a 3 and a serviceable safety for that.

Minkah Fitzpatrick is a versatile safety , arguably a top three player at his position and under contract longer for less money and was acquired for about 40-50 percent of the price.

This is brilliantly spot-on. I have no doubt that at some point in the near future, he'll start taking some sort of veiled shot at Miles Sanders and compare him negatively to some random, lesser back, probably someone on the Bucs. And if Jalen Reagor has a great rookie year, he'll find a way to say that, well, he's okay, but Terry McLaurin is better. It's how he operates. Good Eagles players are always discredited.

One major caveat to the Minkah trade is that it looked like Pittsburgh could bottom out without Big Ben and turn that pick into a top-10 selection, which made it more enticing than either of Seattle’s 1s. Unfortunately for them, Minkah was elite and transformed that defense, keeping the team respectable.

Wildcard game against Seattle on NFL network at 8!

Game sucked. I was there and the stadium never recovered after Wentz went out.

I fell into his trap one time. He had me so pissed off I went off on him then PMd a mod and said I was sorry he just made me so mad I won't respond back anymore lol.

That dude absolutely is in here just to get a rise and nothing else and it's a bit more acceptable if you are an actual eagles fan and get a rise then it is to be a fan of another team and exclusively post in Tate to intentionally piss people off.

Eloquent defense of a bunch of people it seems you think are pansies...

For the record, I've been on the boards since they began the first time, and then when it re-booted.  Like I told 4for4, didn't post, just read, but started posting here  because I thought there would be less government,  so to speak, in a board not run by the Eagles.

I had to look up what a "Karen” is — I feel out of touch, and worse yet, I don’t feel like that’s a bad thing

Yeah.  It’s what the kids are saying this summer.  That and "Facts”....apparently.

Ok boomer

Thank you @ManuManu for always trying to veer us into football during this pandemic of hell. Appreciate it:worthy:

Hate the use of Karen.  My mothers name and absolutely the best administrative assistant I ever had also had that name.

LOL - since you looked it up I did too - see Karen Jacobsen is the voice for Garmin (and maybe others) GPS - I always just referred to the voice as "Karen".

Likewise I thought that's what the reference was - until now - talk about feeling out of touch.

@Original Sin Receiving corps better than the Bucs just to name a few: cowpads, Rams, Cardinals, Chiefs, Chargers etc.   Evans is basically a very fast TE with less than a 60% catch rate.   Heck, Jeffries had a better catch rate. Ertz and Goedert both have better catch rates. Howard seems like a bust and Brate?  Well, if you projected Perkins to 16 games, and starts similar to Brate, you would have a better catch rate and about the same amount of yards, as the third TE. Project DJax to 14 games like Godwin, who is legit, and DJax projects better. Project Ward to a full season and he is the third best receiver for Tampa and only Godwin has a similar catch rate.  No Tampa running back can hold Boobie’s shoes as a receiver.  Scott projected out to a full season is better than any RB that Tampa has as a receiver.  Arians asks TB12 to bomb like Winston, based on Brady’s 2018 and 2019 stats and you are probably looking at the lowest QBR of his career.  Gronk?  Assuming he is healthy, I would rather have Ertz.  Heck, I would rather have Goedert   2018 stats look like Howard’s

Tampa is probably the third place team in its division behind Saints and Falcons.  Personally, I don’t prefer to talk about such a mediocre team any more so no response is necessary.

Covid and BLM will be the end of the NFL as we know it. Fight me.

Great area.  We hunted above a town called Ridgeway.  Went from when I was 7 (tagged along in the cold and loved it) until I was in my late 20s. Would fly in from CA and meet my friends and see my Dad and Uncle who went to the same spot for 40+ years.

Do they still have Elk there?

Yes, there are still Elk and Pa now has an Elk season (by lottery) which I have never been lucky enough to win. I know quite a few people from that area. Great people and great area.

Broad st at noon. Bring your signed combat waiver and a mask

The Chiefs just signed Osemele to replace their starting G from last season.  Osemele has good credentials and won SB with the Ravens.  Had injury issue, but not expensive for $2M.  How come the Eagles did not consider him before they went for Peters?  Peters could very well work out well for the team, but he is older and switching to a new position.

It was funny at first a year or so ago when a few memes focused on Karen's wanting to see the manager.  It's old now, way overused and look what a lawmaker in SF has proposed.  I truly feel bad for all Karen's out there.

I wasn’t big on bringing Peters back, but he can slide over and backup LT if Dillard gets injured, so he brings that versatility.

The general practice of labelling people into a group is prejudicial in nature and frankly I believe shows a lack of intelligence.

With the exception of fans of terrible sports teams, of course .....
