The worst part about this season is whoever they end up bringing in to replace him is going to take 3 or 4 days just to get signed. That’s valuable time and bad enough now, when it’s in season it’s going to be even worse. They will have almost no shot at playing.

Text conversation between the wife and I today.  I saw a turtle on the golf course, her response is right out of this scene in D&D.    We quote that movie all the time.

That's not just a turtle.  That looks like a snapper.  Yeah, go ahead and pick it up, Frankie Four Fingers.

Yea I murdered that thought process point. I combined my previous posts with that one and meant to say when they need to bring in someone from the outside there is going to be a delay.

Also, Batman wouldn’t kill The Joker because that’s not what he does, nor does Harvey Dent because his whole character was based around courts deciding justice, thus why he didn’t take justice into his own hands. Of course that’s different at the end because his character changes, but not through the first two acts.

Dent had already turned by that point; he had already threatened Gordon in the hospital before the Joker showed up.  Even if that wasn’t the case, it’s simply not believable (given his fiancée had just been murdered by the very person who comes to visit him) that when the Joker places the gun in his hand, and puts the gun to his head, Dent would respond with a ‘see you in court’ rationale.  Beyond not believable — it was comically stupid.  Necessary, however, in order to concoct a way to keep the character around for a sequel.

It’s very possible Ledger’s actual performance was much better than how the character was written.  I’ll have to watch the new one with Phoenix to compare — although I suspect it would be an attempt to copy off of what Ledger had already set in place.

I watched Zodiac tonight; an interesting reminder of how frustrating detective work can be.  Logic tells you that your suspect is guilty, but no forensic evidence to line it all up.

Not even close. They're about as similar to each other as Jack Nicholson's joker is to ledger's

No I hear you. Once again scrounging before the season even starts. But especially in a year w no offseason I trust the elder statesman with Wentz’s back more than a scrap heap signing. Maybe we can get a yr out of a salary cap casualty from another team somewhere in the line, but I’d prefer to plug and play elsewhere than LT

Seems far fetched, but he has Burnett making the team as the seventh WR.

7 WOs seems a bit much

Burnett is not important enough to merit making the roster as #7. Are we even worried about losing him?

Comes down to special teams.  Does a 4th running back add more than a 7th wide receiver?  Burnett, I could be wrong, also works with the #1 gunners on punts.  That's not a job built for a running back, especially a guy like Holyfield/Warren.

Gotta give Burnett credit, it seems every practice he makes at least 2 plays that are mentioned.  Hindsight is killer.  Had they known Burnett could be an option, 1 of the Watkins/Hightower picks  could have been used on an 0-lineman.  That sure would help right now.

The good news is we are discussing how to keep good players rather than arguing trying to keep someone who doesn't deserve it.  Carson Wentz is the franchise, he needs weapons to throw to.  Let's hope that Driscoll is as versatile as we here.  That would help the line out in a huge way.

I believe Ford and James have been the top gunners in camp, but I could be wrong. @FranklinFldEBUpper probably knows.

I don’t think it makes sense to carry two slot-only guys for a 12 personnel team.

Thats what i was going for.😒

Thought this was funny. I think this kid shows more promise than Pumphrey at least did.

Stupid Observation of the Day: The defense loves to hit rookie running back Adrian Killins Jr., who is listed at 177 pounds. It seems like all the defenders love to hit him and watch him fly. He even got clotheslined today. Poor kid.

losing Dillard sucks. now we have to wait and go through this whole nonsense with him again next year.

No idea at all how good he actually is (being a FA still and not old, i'm guessing not very) but LaAdrian Waddle sounds like a guy they could use.

I think the argument is that Holyfield is JAG whereas Burnett adds depth at a position the team was bad at last year.

Mailata and Tega Wanogho can battle it out for LT.  That’s why they were drafted to be the next man up.

Hated the Phoenix version. Thought it was scenery-chewing claptrap.
