Wow.

WTF.  @HazletonEagle would give a 3rd for this guy, I would do a 5th.

The way I see it as a DB in my college days. Qbs can plan against our back end coverage cause its so predictable, no creativity. If the Dline gets instant pressure, its a good success. However in most cases they are in a bad position and major advantage to the offense knowing the coverage.  People keep saying 2017 but look at our offense that year? Top  offense in the league. if you look back at Jim's success he only reached top 10 defense only when his offense was top 5. think there was 5 years out of 18. Hes a 12-18 rank defense kinda guy. Not horrible but time for a change. We can see the DBs are struggling week in and week out and the scheme plays a big role in that. Thats the way I see it from a DBs eyes.

This goes for every defense. You don't get pressure on the QB, your secondary is in trouble.

Jim has had terrible CBs to work with here.

That is kinda strange. Draft him in the 3rd then trade him before he hits the field for a 4th in a draft that is a crap shoot. Plus you gave them a pick back. Ugly trade there.

Love,  Bowden,  might be my favorite all around weapon.

He was showing well in camp ,too.

Gruden being  Gruden

He must have been a real turd.

There’s definitely something fishy going on around him to cut bait this quickly.

Every defense coverage breaks down after 5 secs or so of course, but ours is toast in 2-3 secs. Teams just know the coverage. At least if your creative here and there you have to make the QB think about it. That is never the case with Jims coverage.

But the Jets’ draft was a departure from our previous drafts too...

Right.  And that’s likely correlated to the KC Chiefs’ success and how they have handled drafts under Andy Reid. (Which would have been similar to how Howie would have continued to handle drafts had he had control of the team after Reid left, imo).

The draft strategy to draft "football players” started with Chip Kelly and then continued with Joe Douglas.

This is way too simplified. Jim is no idiot.

This is going to go in circles. No matter what though, Howie hired Joe and had final say on the draft. To pin bad drafts on Douglas is being a Howie apologist.

Just predictable, lol

I'm putting the best combo out there if I have a choice

Me too

Raiders are pretty set at WO, ditto RB

Not a reflection on Bowden ...plus Gruden deemed him a project currently

Lol sure

Teams just always use a 3rd round pick then have to use a 6th to salvage any value 4 months later because they are set

Of course it is. They traded him for less than they spent to get him.

I mean, that’s just a preposterous thing to say. Not an indictment, lol.

And he couldn’t beat out Agholor

Well, let's hope they can finally be a little more creative this year with a #1 and a very good nickel in NRC.

Not trusting Mills and Darby had a lot to do with not wanting to try and hide coverages more, IMO.

Howie is ultimately responsible for the drafts as President (GM).  I don’t think "Howie apologists” dispute that. (For the most part).

The idea is to "wait and see” how the "new strategy” works over the next 1-2 years before dismissing Howie as a GM, imo.

I don’t necessarily agree or disagree.  But the "change” in draft strategy was quite obvious this year, no?

I think that was because the fans were pissed that Wentz was throwing to PS guys. He had to give Wentz weapons or I think he would have been gone

Yo anythin b happinin with Jeffries yet? Damn smh

No way someone would trade for him

They have three good looking WRs in Edwards, Ruggs and Renfrow. They have two good RBs in Jacobs and Richard. This wasn’t some move where they were stacked. They got him in the building and said, "we effed up. Get him out of here.”

Probably the byproduct of no team visits. Anyone can fake their way through a Zoom meeting.

No, I am def not deflecting blame.  Ultimately this is on Howie, no doubt about it.

Since now you cant put a player on IR during the season if he started the season on the PUP list(What I've heard at least) Do we think Howie just puts him on IR if no trade is made by today?

Watch him go down with Tua, phins will use him as a WO a RB , he can return

No pre season is killing rookies, the teams with quality scouting departments will find playersÂ
