Question:  Maybe someone in marketing can explain the Packers and Eagles as the first teams to play in Brazil when the NFL has assigned the Dolphins and the Cheatriots to Brazil.  That just seems stupid. While the Packers don’t participate, the Eagles have Australia (duh), New Zealand and Ghana.

In their defense, if they sent the Dolphins there and Tyreek Hill was surrounded by all those butt implants, they'd be settling like 30 paternity suits for him next year.

I think he's comparing it to flying to Australia.  

The Patriots suck right now.  Not a team to showcase.   Dolphins... even Miami fans have a hard time getting excited for them, even when they are good.

I think the Dolphins are being underestimated this year. Their SB odds are 25:1. I think it should be closer to 15:1. I put down some money on them last week with the intention of hedging the hell out of in the postseason. If they get there, I should find a way to turn a profit. If they advance a bit, a more decent profit.

That was my thought too. At least feature the team assigned to the market and make them the "home" team that loses a real home game.

Sure.  But their fans are pretty indifferent, which was my point.  It's not going to move the needle by bringing them to Brazil.

I would guess the players will keep this in mind for the next contact with the league. Hopefully they will bring this game forward and how player safety wasn't cared about

At this point I wouldn't be surprised. I'm watching blind soccer now. BLIND...SOCCER. the Paralympics is fire you guys. 

 

At local wine festivals here in South Central they have a vendor that does bacon on a stick. So effing good.  (The wine has no impact on this conclusion at the slightest.) Today in my X feed is Tim Walz eating pork chop on a stick at the Minnesota State Fair.  While I doubt it is as good as bacon on a stick, I kind of want to try the pork chop version.

I've often wondered. As an Eagles fan, if we could re-live Donovan McNabb or Mike Vick in an alternate universe, which would you choose?

-Donovan McNabb with better weapons from day 1. Guys like TO, DJack and Maclin

OR

-Mike Vick drafted by the Eagles and surrounded by leaders of men and put in the best situation to succeed, not only on the field but as a man.

I'm torn to which I would go with. The end of the McNabb era really tainted my memories of him, but damn he was so good. I was a Mike Vick fan since VT so it's easy to say I'd love to see him as an Eagle from day 1. Which scenario could have brought the Eagles a SB first?

Im not sure we can say Vick didnt play with leaders in ATL. I think he needed his jail sentence to change. Hitting rock bottom, and a chance to reflect and reform.  He was picked up by the right people, but if he had been with those people from day 1 in the NFL, Im not sure they could have had the same impact. The timing was likely key for him to be willing to let them in and actually listen.

McNabb likely derails his own career with alcohol and physical unfitness as well. Despite playing with leaders of men from day 1. But giving him more talent earlier in his career when he was fit enough to actually be the whole offense.... thats the one I feel confident could have resulted in super bowls.

I like the thought of both of them, but if push comes to shove an entire Vick career with AR wins by a whisker.  Imagine Vick in his prime on this current team.  Then imagine McNabb.  One is transcendent.  The other is mouth watering.

Posted this in the other thread....this is the "Air Quality" RIGHT NOW in Sao Paulo Airport....yaah, great call not canceling this trip and playing the game at the Linc Mr. Commissioner!
