Just ordered two bottles. A hot sauce with garlic, how can it be anything but great? P.S. I forgot to mention that I put garlic powder in that rub for my wings.

Frankly I think any nickname that references a person's skin color is in poor taste, regardless if it's humorous or not.

Looks like Talcum Jenkins is leaning heavily into the bit though.

It’s not a wing sauce. Just a garlic\whiskey hot sauce.  Decent amount of kick.  Love the flavor.

If I want more heat, I use this (but it's not as flavorful)

I put that sheet on almost everything

Non-Eagles but interesting...

Saw some film clips of Harrison and thought he looked slow, but this was kinda shocking.

Is Dylan McMahon gonna start for the Rams or is he a backup?

I'd love to be wrong on this, but I actually think DeJean is a better fit for outside CB than nickel. Straightline speed, instincts, ball skills, toughness - I'm confident. Lateral quickness? I have questions.

Some observations on the OL: Stoutland pulled every one of the linemen at least once. Jurgens pulled five times, Dickerson twice, Mailata, Becton, and Lane once each. Mailata and Dickerson ran a counter-trey. What was really cool, I thought was how Stoutland used the pulls as key-breakers. On the TD pass to Saquon, the WR motioned left to right, and Dickerson pulled to his right. Those two actions broke the LB's keys and pulled him in tighter, Saquon released through the spot Dickerson had vacated, and the LB had no chance to cover him. The safety came over but was just a little late. I've already mentioned how Becton pulled from RG to pass block on the left (on AJ's long reception), and Jurgens pulled and pass-blocked twice. He also pulled on a fake OZ left and the throw was to Brown on the right. Jurgens was called for illegal receiver downfield on another pull but it was a near thing.

I think Moore and Stoutland are going to have a really entertaining offense this year judging by the first week.

The announcers called at least one Eagle run an outside zone. Nope. They didn't run an OZ all game. Everything was between the tackles. Inside zone and power. They ran a few read-options and Hurts made the wrong read on at least three of them. If the DE sits he has to give it to the RB, and he didn't.

Did he have any opportunities to really hit full speed? He had one catch on three targets. Outside of running his routes, I don’t think he had a chance to get into a full stride sprint like AJ did last week on his big play or Tyreek in week one on his 80 yard TD.

I bake mine. I make a rub of Tajin, Shichimi Togarashi (a Japanese spice blend), tarragon, salt, and baking powder. Bake @375 for 30 minutes, then brush with a mix of brown sugar, soy sauce, and sambal oelek and bake for 10 minutes more. The baking powder makes the wings crispy and the mix is sweet, salty, and spicy.

Fresh tarragon or from the store?  Grew tarragon this year in one of my herb gardens. Fresh is so much better. I have three types of basil growing, rosemary, two types of chives, two types of oregano, thyme, marjoram, three types of parsley, fennel, mint, sage, lavender, scallions, cilantro and dill, next plantings of parsley, cilantro and dill just in for my inside winter herb garden because the second batch of dill just went to seed and the cilantro will follow soon. I will harvest cilantro (coriander) and fennel seeds this fall and maybe the dill seeds. (I have been reseeding cilantro for years but need coriander this year, so….) If that works, I think I will try cumin and possibly caraway next year.  The fresh herbs can also be harvested, hung and dried.  (Just like the marijuana plants we grew in our youth.)  Wife and I have been playing with and mixing the herbs and spices a bunch this summer.   Wife has picked up my habit of tasting herbs walking around the garden.

Harvesting peppers from now until the freeze. Lost my cayenne plant to a rooting squirrel or rabbit but everything else is going strong.  (I had so much cayenne last year I won’t be running out of that soon but was hoping to make some flakes with this year’s crop.  Tomatillos coming in strong and I am real hopeful that this year the Romas last long enough to make some salsas.  Should at least get some homemade salsa verde.  I have seven paprika plants full of peppers.  Will smoke some and then grind some smoked and some not.  I highly recommend sweet pepper flakes (mostly bells for me.)   Should have enough poblanos and jalapeños for some ancho and chipotle, including grinding some.  Will also flake some jalapeños.  Now, I like some heat so I don’t seed the hot peppers.

You forgot to mention to be sure to use aluminum free baking powder.  I have started using corn starch instead.  I dry the wing and let them air dry in the basement fridge for an hour and then make a rub and add about two tablespoons to the corn starch and coat them and let them sit in the basement fridge overnight. Find those just as crispy as with baking powder.  But like @Iggles_Phan, I don’t fry them. I grill them with smoke.  For wings, I use a mix of pecan, apple and cherry for smoke or just mesquite.

Cat got his own garden last year with catnip, cat grass and ornamental grasses.  He likes to "hunt” by hiding in the tall grass.

That Witch’s Brew looks pretty good.  For the next month I will be making some of my own sauces with my pepper crop.

@just relax (and others with some gray in their hair).  Last weekend watching college ball, I saw Nebraska line up at least once in the Power I and Texas line up in the Wishbone.  Now I just need to see the Veer at UH, the Run n Shoot from Portland State, Kentucky or Texas Tech running the Air Raid, and anyone running Pop Warner’s Wing T., maybe Notre Dame to make it full circle from my youth.  Fun fact, Warner invented the single wing up the road from me with an athlete named Thorpe in Carlisle.  What comes around goes around.

Glad you mentioned the wing-t.  We could also see Delaware run it for local flavor.

On the national front you can add the USC I-formation with the tailback 8 yards deep and then running the student body pitch out sweeps.

He hit 21 or 22mph in college.

That one is schmoopies favorite Hanks sauce.  If I remember correctly it was a bit vinegary for my tastes.

I don't think it would from the NFLPA's side, and I think Tua would struggle to find one to support him on his own.

If you remember there was a big hoopla around whether Tua had a concussion or not in 2022 v the Bills which ended with the Neurologist that cleared him to play next game getting fired (Tua went on to suffer an indisputable concussion in that next game).  Maybe he can find a guy close to the end of his career who'll argue for him to continue for dollars, but the science around repeated concussions is pretty clear and I'd be surprised if he could find a respected guy to argue that 3 clear (possibly 4) doesn't present a material risk to his future neurological health and cognitive functions.

In reviewing the CBA, I think it would play out in the return to play protocol.  To progress through the protocol he would have to pass the return to baseline test administered by the team neuropsych.  If Tua doesn't pass it an believes he should have passed it, then he can wait and take it again or get a second opinion.   I don't know if he could get a doctor that would lie about the results but my guess is that there is some level of wiggle room in what constitutes a return to baseline.  That's only the first step in a return to activities.  If the team doctor disagreed with the second opinion, I think Tua could file a greivance but I am not sure he would have any other recourse.

The other way it could play out is that Tua passes the return to baseline testing but ultimately does not get cleared to return to play. If that happens, that is either because he can't progress to full activites because of concussion symptoms, the team doctor does not clear him or the independent neuro consulting doc does not clear him.  So there would have to be some dispute about whether he was exhibiting signs and symptoms of a concussion or he ultimately isn't cleared by the INC.  It's hard to imagine a scenario where Tua's is symptomatic and wants to return to play anyway or he isn't symptomatic but is not cleared and wants to play.
