54 predictions recorded ... and they continue to be all for an Eagles win.  Average predicted score continu4s to be Eagles 33 Falcons 18.

As always, please tag your prediction post with @mattwill that way I will be sure to see/record it.  Score predictions can also have an optional "Bonus Pick" tiebreaker prediction.

A list of the 54 predictions is presented below, sorted alphabetically by the name of the predictor.  If you don't see your name there, then I haven't yet recorded a prediction for you.

Is there an elevated danger of tearing the Achilles? That would also explain the IR.

I think it's similar to Richard Sherman's issue. Sherman chose to play through it as long as he could until it tore. A couple weeks after the surgery on the tear, he had another (more minor) surgery performed on the other one. Brandon Brooks also tore one and then the other a couple years later.

Resting CMC may help it heal naturally, but that's what DJax hoped to do with his groin injury only to see no real progress, trying to return and then aggravating it to the point surgery was required to repair it right.

I'd lean towards letting it heal as much as possible and having a minor surgery vs having it tear, but that's just me.

I posted the other day about the CAPS OFF guys… It’s betr_jack that’s such a complete a**hat! So much hate for the eagles.

Absolutely. I think he’ll go on IR

If they could lose Deebo too that would be superb! Not that I wish injury on any player but just to see the Niners struggle would be nice. Let’s see what golden boy Purdy can do with no weapons!

If it's tendinitis he can rest and it will get better.  That's just inflammation of the tendon.

If it's tendonosis then that's degenerative. He would likely have a minor surgery called a debridement to scrape out the scar tissue that forms within the substance of the tendon.

@mattwill Eagles 34 Falcons 13

Bonus: Saquon has 125+ yards rushing

@mattwill

Eagles 27

Falcons 20

Bonus: Dotson catches the first pass as they want to get him involved early

With AJ questionable should I pick up Dallas or go high upside pick in Dotson for fantasy

This is more important than average roster age.

Being a Super Bowl contender AND middle of the pack in age is fantastic. Hilariously, we're old on defense in large part because of Graham and Slay.

The irony in that is that they are actually younger on defense in gross age, but only appear older defensively because it seems across the league, defenses are younger than offenses.  Replace Graham with Huff (ideally he starts to do something) and that age drops even more.

Early in the season is when soft-tissue injuries are more likely to occur. This is the right approach.

Back off until Monday night, see how he feels pre game. If it's still tight, sit him a week, NBD. If he's fine then let him play.

@mattwill

Eagles 27-23

Sweat 2 sacks

No Brown Monday night it’s looking like.

@mattwill

Changing my prediction to Falcons 24 Eagles 20

Eagles less than 250 yards of offense

Hope Dotson is caught up to speed on the offense.

Hope they feed Saquon early and often.

I wouldn't go that far just yet. It'll probably be a game-time decision.

Just got back from elk hunting last night.  Great hunt with my brother, uncle and friend who had the tag. With no cell service, I was pumped when my brother showed up and told my our Eagles won.

Unfortunately my buddy missed a nice 5×5 and got busted on the draw by a monster 6×7.  That killer instinct is necessary when you get your opportunity archery elk hunting. Too much damn work finding and calling these elk in these NM mountains to mess up that final moment 😅. Oh well, my freezer is still full from last years elk, oryx and barbary sheep so my family and I are good lol.

Best to be careful with him because it's a long season. The game might be closer without him, but they have a few days to make a new game plan, and enough weapons to beat Atlanta without him.

It's like some fans have never seen how the Eagles handle this type of thing. We're not even talking about a strain, just tightness.
