Elon says F you, you can't tell me what to allow on my platform. It's not yours, it's mine... We've seen it before in 2020-2021 when so many people got suspended from platforms for even lukewarm concerns about the COVID shots.

So your position is that the owner of twitter should be able to ban whatever he wants, and at the same time not ban whatever he wants?

I think this is going to be as good or better than the 2022 team.

Hurts is poised to take the next step, all reports out of camp had him in complete control of this offense.

Barkley is a huge addition, there are only a few elite RBs, and he was buried behind an awful OL, now imagine a 230 lb RB with 4.4 speed with big holes. Plus he's an all around RB so your offense isn't constrained with him the game, run, block and can run the wheel route (which really stresses a defense).

Adding Dotson really upgrades the receiving group, now Covey/Wilson give you package options (one quick and dangerous in the open field, the other a H-back playing WR). But the base package, with Barkley and Goedert, means you have to cover everyone, every play. If Calcaterra can be a solid TE2, they're set.

Lane's health is key to the offense, they could plug in F Johnson or Kinnard for a game or two (or move Becton outside but he's more comfortable, as is Steen, at LT) but without Lane they're not a top ten group.

Cox could bring it for a play here and there, but wasn't the same player last year. Young group of DL, we'll see if they step up, Carter, Davis, Williams, Booker, Ojomo. Probably mix 3-4 and 4-3 under and 2-4 fronts.

OLB/Edge rushers will be different, Huff looked better in space than Reddick but isn't proven as a full load pass rusher. Hunt has lots of upside as a SOLB, but maybe not this season. Sweat is a pass rushing DE and should be used in that role. Smith/Johnson have to show more than just an outside rush to get significant PT, can either play in space?

ILBs should be much better, faster, more athletic, smarter.

CB is night and day over last season, Slay, Rodgers, Mitchell, with Ringo and DeJean behind them. Look for more coverage sacks.

S is improved as well with CJGJ back, Maddox for half a season (time to get Brown back and DeJean acclimated) and McCollum as an upgrade on the bench.

Moore and Fangio are huge upgrades, I think Johnson wasn't prepared, and Desai ran a watered down version of Fangio's defense. They were hurt by personnel limitations

Elon didn't suspend those accounts, those were from before he bought the platform. When he came back he mass lifted many suspensions.

I haven't been aware of Elon banning anything on twitter, but doing the exact opposite. The previous regime at twitter was the one doing all of the censoring, along with Mark Zuckerberg over at Meta.

Good for Elon not allowing governments to censor his platform. He's done things I dislike on there, but this is the best thing he's done. We've seen a very disturbing amount of censorship in recent years that simply cannot be normalized. Pavel Durov was just arrested in France for being the CEO of Telegram and not allowing governments to tell him what he needs to disallow on his own platform. And holding him responsible for what people use it for, which is obviously insane. Twitter, Facebook, etc were pressured by the White House to censor certain information. Much of which was actually legit information like the NY Post laptop story, which all social media and news networks have now publicly apologized for censoring or ignoring.

And we have Brazil demanding Twitter delete accounts of people for what the Brazilian government themselves claims is disinformation.

Elon says F you, you can't tell me what to allow on my platform. It's not yours, it's mine. And he's not allowing their threats to ban it to dissuade him. Give them an inch, they'll take a mile. Set that precedent, and it's over. I'm glad he's not backing down. Many companies would. We've seen it before in 2020-2021 when so many people got suspended from platforms for even lukewarm concerns about the COVID shots.

Brazil should focus on making their country safer before trying to police someone else's sofrware.

If you let child molesters, drug dealers and terrorists use your site to organize, and protect them from government scrutiny, you're going to have issues.

"The investigation was prompted by Telegram’s reluctance to cooperate in a child abuse case, POLITICO reported exclusively, which led to warrants being issued against Durov and his brother Nikolai Durov, the platform’s co-founder."

Moscow has sought to get involved since his arrest, stating that it had offered "all the necessary assistance and support” to Durov, and accusing France of intimidation and a "direct attempt to restrict freedom of communication.”

Though Durov portrays himself as an opponent of the Kremlin, the reality appears more complicated. Even after leaving Russia and selling his share in VKontakte, Durov was rumored to maintain ties with the country. Alisher Usmanov, an oligarch close to Putin, reportedly helped to finance Telegram in its early stages. Telegram also initially worked out of the same Singer House office in St. Petersburg as VKontakte.

Durov’s brother Nikolai, who is also wanted by France, was reported by pro-Kremlin media to be living in St. Petersburg, where he works at the Steklov Mathematical Institute of the prestigious Russian Academy of Sciences. Тhe institution's website lists Nikolai Durov as a staff member.

Despite Nikolai's widely reported contributions to Telegram's success, he has always stayed out of the spotlight, leaving that role to his younger brother. According to Telegram, Pavel supports the app "financially and ideologically while Nikolai's input is technological."

According to an Important Stories report, based on a leak of Russian intelligence data, Durov visited Russia "more than 50 times” between 2015 and 2021. Telegram is widely used by the Russian military for battlefield communications, by pro-war military bloggers and journalists and by millions of ordinary Russians and political officials.

Somebody owned twitter at that time. So by your logic, they were completely within their rights to decide what could and couldn't be posted on their site.

You're wrong.

Just 3 different,  identically named,  WR spots.

Like there are 3 different, indentically named DT spots.  And 12 starting spots on the defense.

there is no DT1,  DT2,  DT3.   There is just DT, DT, DT.  and just WR, WR, WR.

No. You just aren't looking.

I was against the 2020-2021 suspensions. You seem to be suggesting that I posted that I was in support of them, which has me a bit confused.

Regardless, my position is that anyone who owns the platform should be allowed to do whatever they want with it. And should not be pressured by governments to try and bully them into compliance.

So, he can yell "Fire" in a crowded theater?

Elon sucks.  But anyway…

People always forget the falsely part. It is okay, and probably a good idea, to yell fire in a theater that is, in fact, on fire.

I don't want to keep this going and get the new blog off on the wrong start but half the issue I had with twitter before is that there was a huge fire and no one was yelling fire, as a matter of fact those that yelled fire were banned, ignored or told there wasn't a fire. Now that the theater s burned down, a lot of people are saying I knew about the fire and should have said something.

Agree that no one should falsely yell fire either. I think twitter is in a better place than it was before. Still loads of crap on it though.

Not sure what that has to do with Twitter, but yelling fire in a crowded theater is not illegal, and if anyone were arrested for it in the US, that would be have negative implications, because that would mean someone's rights were being violated, and it's a violation of the constitution.

Who here is paying to rent an apartment for a football game for $40k?

Agree with this. I thought that team was special. Vicks first throw to Celek might be one of the best throws I've ever seen.

I am pretty ambivalent toward Elon though. I think he has a toxic social media addiction that has broken his brain on some things, but this happens to a lot of people so he's not alone. But having heard him speak at lengths on a variety of subjects over the years on podcasts, I think he's an interesting guy who's trying to do good. People may disagree with his methods and what constitutes "doing good," and I do at times, but the best way I can categorize Elon is "interesting dude"

Don't really have an opinion on whether he's good or bad. Don't typically like to judge people like that unless they're heroes or murderers. Or play for the Cowboys.

I really liked JT Woods as a mid round target but was shocked to see him go so high. He has intriguing tools but apparently can’t tackle at all.

If we beat the Packers in the playoffs, we could have won the SB. We were the closest team to beating the Packers that year too

Generic rooting for your favorite sports team comment.

Two things:

Black helmet, white jersey, black pants is dumb and not the Eagles.

Fangio's obsession with Zach Baun is baffling.
