Also worth noting he had only 5 pass block snaps against the Browns and let up 2 pressures. Granted, I think most if not all were against Garrett. One thing Duffy mentioned is as the Saints game went on, they figured out how to beat Johnson by using speed to set him up and then bull rush him because he has trouble anchoring. Bucs saw this on tape and did the same thing which he struggled with all game. Giants will probably too.

Eye test supersedes all and looked fine to me. He's not Mailata, but he'll be fine. Big Stout will coach him up.

Right. It's one of the more annoying things that's happened to sports coverage over the last 5-7 years.

Its why I almost never tune in to any of those shows.  They don't provide any substance.  Waste of my time.

I'd say it's been much longer than that. Deion Sanders and Michael Irvin were way over the top when they got jobs as talking heads on these same types of shows. But yeah I do think the advent of social media has ratcheted things up a notch.

They were also way over the top as players...  of course, Michael had some help.

Dean's position just before Jones jukes him into the stands.

Thanks.  And this guy Tracey (#29) is super quick.  A handful. We liked him too.

Duh

Carson Strong is a better head coaching candidate than Nick Sirianni.

I imagine Stoll will be elevated and used a fair bit to help out on that side. Burns is going to be a tough assignment anyway.  My hope is they just focus on running the ball. Of course, Jalen will probably audible out of that and want to throw deep shots every other down.

He didn't look great against Tampa.

We got one game with all our stars all year and we put up 34 points. Going to be a patchwork type of year.

That's the NFL.

If Huff HAS to play in a 4 point stance to be effective at all than the blame should be focused on Howie more than anyone else.

Seriously! Completely ridiculous. But I'm going to go a step further and also put some blame on Jeff's desk for not insisting on bringing in higher quality talent evaluators especially with a keen eye for defense. He easily could have done that. Howie just isn't good with the defense.

Stoll is already on the roster. They probably elevate a 3rd TE though. Curious if they go with Uzomah for blocking or Jenkins for his receiving.

Or they just activate our super weapon Albert O.

Wouldn't know.  Haven't watched a moment of it.  Not even clips.

Me neither.  Except for hours of my favorite Youtubers trashing it.  The Little Platoon has a 14 hour long video of it.

Yes, but our team struggles unless completely healthy. Duh!

We're definitely getting Becton or Steen at LT, next week if not this week. No way they roll with Fred Johnson for 4 games.

Becton at LT, Steen at RG.  Fred Johnson on the bench.

To the folks who have reached out to me asking about my health and welfare I send a huge amount of thanks.  The last three weeks have been challenging to say the least.  Fortunately no tragedies, but a healthy dose of hills to climb.  My mother is 101 years old and I have spent a considerable amount of time care giving for her back East, and then had additional full-time challenges arise in California. Fortunately I have a wonderful sister who shoulders the lions share of the care giving. Things are relatively stable right now but I have another care giving round the first two weeks of November scheduled, and appointments with our healthcare providers here in California in the meantime.  As they say, getting old is a ****.

So, I'm going to have to follow the example of @greend and step away from the EMB until a time when I can afford the time for the wonderful distraction and camaraderie that this merry band of men and women gives in abundance.  @VaBeach_Eagle has my e-mail address, and if anyone does feel the need to communicate, he has my permission to share that address with you.

And on a less personal note ... GO BIRDS!!!!

Thank you all!

Glad you are alright. Praying for your Mom and you.

Don't think it was really necessary, he could play before then, but probably a precaution thing like with Brown.

Giants, Bengals, Jags, Cowboys are some of the lower ranked DLs in terms of pressures and sacks, so if there's any stretch to miss him it's this.

Giants come into the week with the most sacks in the NFL.

But where does PFF rank them?  That's the true measure.

In Johnson’s defense, he has to learn both RT and LT. That has to be tough

That's double the screen time of the show

So we lose to the giants will they fire sirianni or will they blame injuries and let him stay? I know which one i prefer
