They had the #1 defense, but also, up until that game, Foles had looked shaky from the Raiders game, the little he played in the meaningless finale against Dallas, and he was efficient, but not great against Atlanta. The NFCCG and Super Bowl was a coming out party for Foles. Couldn't have timed it any better.

Eagles beat Dallas in 2000 in the Pickle Juice Game, come home next week and lose to the Giants. Chip Kelly gets big opening win on the road on MNF 2013 against the Redskins. Eagles come home next week and lose to the Chargers. Siri's first year Eagles score big opening win in Atlanta in 2021. Come home and lose to Niners. Eagles should win, but history has shown these types of games to be trap games even at home. More so on the road.
