Stock market today: Dow, S&P 500, Nasdaq fall as oil surges, Trump declares ceasefire 'over'

US stocks fell on Wednesday as oil surged after President Trump declared that the memorandum of understanding between the US and Iran was "over," raising the likelihood of a re-escalation in the Middle East war.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average (^DJI) fell 1.2%, or more than 600 points, while the S&P 500 (^GSPC) dropped 0.6%. The tech-weighted Nasdaq Composite (^IXIC) slipped 0.5% following a down day for US markets.

Markets are digesting a sharp escalation in US-Iran tensions after American forces carried out a "series of powerful strikes" against Iran late Tuesday in response to attacks on three commercial vessels in the Strait of Hormuz.

President Trump, speaking in Ankara ahead of a NATO summit, stated that the US-Iran ceasefire agreement was over amid the flare-up in hostilities. "As far as I'm concerned, it's just a waste of time dealing with them," Trump said of Iran.

And rising. But it'll be totally worth it if we can somehow reach our lofty goals of getting back to the exact same situation we were in before the war started.

Costco's got plenty of good stuff. Motor city pizza, kerry gold butter, the steelhead salmon. Hell, the butter chicken isn't bad at all.

I lost my taste for warehouse stores a while ago. For most beef or anything 'special" I tend to frequent a local butcher, if its just chicken or something I get it from the grocery store.

Ordering from shoprite and picking it up is great though. Every two or three weeks we just order large quantities of stuff we use thats on sale, end up saving a few hundred dollars, and they charge 5 bucks. Well worth it.

TBF, we only need to gas up once or twice a month tops. So it's easy for us to align Costco trips with filling up the tank.

I would say my neighborhood is upper middle class (Homes range from 700s to $1.6 million on my street) and I'd guess more than half of us have Costco memberships.

Hell, we became friends with this one couple at the golf club because they noticed our daughter was wearing the same easter dress from Costco they almost put their girl in.

TL;DR: I really don't associate Costco with low income.
