Not commenting much on Trump but yeah I don't respect Lane's decision at all. All politicians lie so it's cute trying to compare the situations. I'll throw in a bonus that I've said quite a few times I don't like things Trump has done particularly pertaining to the environment. I voted for it and I will never regret going for him over Harris. Our boarders would be flooded even more than they are. That issue alone makes the rest worthwhile. I've said I don't like him as a person.

But Lane had all offseason, all camp, and even all last week, and he quit on game day and retired in the middle of the season. That's not being on a "high horse" that's calling out a BS move for being a BS move. Doesn't mean I don't like Lane or that he isn't a HOF or possibly the best Eagle ever. You honor your commitments and your word. If you don't think that's possible bail in camp and let them keep Williams or make other moves. I don't respect it and never will. Nor do I have to, but as a fan I can call it out. Doesn't mean I don't feel for him and his family. Opposition doesn't mean you quit when people are depending on you. People being triggered by someone saying I like him but that was BS is very telling.

Did you miss the part where he wanted to retire and the Eagles talked him out of it

Yes it does.

Besides, as an Eagles fan you should be able to realize (as Lane does) that this team sucks and he is not the missing piece to put it together.

Dude is a grown ass man. Nobody forced him to. Just like nobody forced him to walk on the team an hour or two before the game on Sunday.

Why? Because we live in a pussified world? I don't care what he did in the past walking out that way is BS and a dick move. That doesn't mean I don't like him, don't care his parents are sick, etc. It means you conduct yourself like a professional and a man and honor your commitment. There is a right way of doing stuff and that isn't it when people are depending on you. I don't have to respect the move, but as a fan it's BS. You all can disagree, obviously, but it's a strange world we are living in. Especially, with fans and a forum that shredded Shawn Andrews for leaving for mental health reasons when he got his Michael Phelps on.

You can bail on the team. They are a game out of first place in a weak division. Doesn't mean as a fan I'm supposed to.

Bro, it's a game. Collect yourself. People quit jobs every day.

I'm a Philly fan. We speak our minds and the entire point of this forum is to do just that. The guy walked in the middle of a season and we are supposed to just clap and remain quiet? Nah. Again, the fact it triggers people says a lot. You all could have just driven past my post. Perhaps people here should collect themselves.

Nobody's triggered. You're the one pissed off. The rest of us are telling you that you're being ridiculous.

You're right, your opinion is your own. And it's ridiculous.

"You are cold and mean because you said it's BS he quit"

That's what is ridiculous. Again, the dude quit an hour or two before a game and left the team hanging not just on Sunday but for the season. Unless you are a **** it's absolutely fair to say I like him but that's BS. Societal norms for centuries are that you honor your commitments. Having an issue with what I said again shows how pussified our country is becoming.

Please tell Lane he’s a poosay to his face

Or, we could give a future hall of famer who has absolutely busted his a s s for the last 14 years and 171 games for this team the benefit of the doubt that if he wasn’t able to suit up for a game he loves playing last week and has now decided to retire, that maybe something bad is going on for him.

Yeah, man, you're so not triggered.

I never said he was. I said it's a BS move. I think people here have gone soft and lost their minds when bailing on a major commitment is perfectly fine and someone who calls it out is being ridiculous. He quit.

Doesn't excuse walking in that way. The fact people have such issue with saying it's BS is nuts.

Nah, he should 8-9 his family away Tom Brady style.

Lost concept on a guy who hurts kids and doesn't honor his as a doctor

You have absolutely no idea what is going on in his life but you can say with certainty that what he did is a BS move. Dude is one of the best offensive linemen to ever play the game. He loves football and loves his team. So, for him to not be able to finish the season, maybe there’s something so terrible going on for him that unfortunately it has taken precedence over suiting up on sundays.

Again, why does it trigger some of you for me to say I like him but that move is BS. Why? Why does that piss you people off to no end? How weak and soft are you all? Since when is bailing on a major commitment considered perfectly fine and saying otherwise bashing him? Proof some of you are losing your way in the world. Again, he had all offseason, all camp, and all week. He quit. But some of you are so soft you can't even hear that without being triggered. Oh well. I like him. That was bull. There is a right way of doing something and that isn't it.

I’m not triggered. You’re allowed to post your opinion. I’m allowed to disagree with your opinion and offer a counter point. That doesn’t mean I’m "triggered”. And using that line is so childish and silly.

Again, you have no clue as to what’s going on in his life. What we do know is that he’s the most dominant offensive linemen in the league and that he loves the game of football. So for him to not be able to play, maybe just maybe there’s something terrible happening in his life right now that is more important. I get that some people like to act like professional athletes are just mindless robots, but in reality they are still people and deal with bad sh-t too from time to time. So you can say it’s a BS move. I can offer my opinion that none of us know what’s going on in his life and so I’ll give the benefit of the doubt that the most dominant player at his position who loves his job might be going through something terrible if he’s not able to play because of it.

And LOL at calling me soft and weak. I was a 2-time collegiate All American boxer. I’ve been in the ring with some of the greatest fighters in the world. You wouldn’t have lasted a week trying to live my life during my fighting days.

You’re pathetic. Your stance on this situation is all one needs to see to realize that fact. GFYS

And you don't know anything about my history. Boxing only works standing up. Gone up against quite a few and they all tapped faster than any other style. Congrats on being good though. Nice of you to drop that in.

Well, I'm glad the mentally ill here are still crazy. Makes sense why you all sympathize with Lane so much. Mental illness is close to home.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say the guy who regularly flexes on "walking, but outside!" is not particularly threatening. Call it a hunch.
