Being a grown man is also about keeping your word and honoring the commitments you make. Yep saying it again.

Nobody is saying family isn’t important, but you don’t just bail on your team in the middle of a season when people are counting on you. Life gets complicated for everyone, but part of being a man is finding a way to handle your responsibilities without walking away from a commitment you made.

Being an adult isn’t just about choosing your family when things get hard it’s also about understanding that your choices impact other people. He made a commitment to his teammates, coaches, and organization, and they built their plans around having him there. People were cut based on his choice.

Everyone has family, work, health, and personal responsibilities that conflict. The difference is that a man honors his word. Family should be a priority, but that doesn’t make walking away from a commitment and leaving others hanging the right thing to do. You can like the person and think that choice was BS. I also get why others feel differently.

Teams can cut players whenever they want. There's no "commitment" here. Come off it already.

Come off it yourself instead of stretching to try and be right. Teams cutting someone is different 🤣 Holy crap.

Why?

Trump calling for two American Cities to be nuked by Iran should result in immediate disqualification and expulsion from from the office of President. It's a total disgrace. And shame on Maga for cheering. They should all be deported to Uganda.

Lane Johnson won us two super bowls and he's dealing with a mom with cancer. Some perspective please.

you call me soft and weak, I’m allowed to respond to that and provide counter evidence, right?

Not sure what your "boxing only works standing up” point has to do with what I said. My apologies if my point wasn’t clear, I’ll explain it differently. Had absolutely nothing to do with comparing fighting styles.

The amount of work I had put in and the amount of sacrifice I had to make. The amount of pain I had to push through. The willpower I had to have to do what was necessary to get to the level I was at, you can’t be soft and weak and achieve that.

Not as much pain and sacrifice as punching your moms box!

Boom! Roasted!

If you've ever been a real adult with real responsibilities, you'd know that there are times when you have conflicting commitments that require tradeoffs.

There are moments you can't meet every commitment, and you have to prioritize and make a decision.

For a long time Lane has chosen the Eagles. But he's now at a place where the priority has to shift to family because his situation has changed.

He clearly wanted to try and stay committed to the birds. But life had other plans.

If your life is so simple that you have no real adult responsibilities and commitments that conflict between work, family, friends, health, etc, then you're living a child's life.

It is as simple as this AND we have no idea what the latest updates in his life consist of so we really have no way of forming any sort of judgement beyond thanking him and wishing him the best.

The amount of water and electricity it took to create this is absolutely worth it. Sorry environment you’re taking the hit on this one.

Lane has played 14 seasons at an elite level. He’s the most productive draft pick from his draft class. Superstar players retire all the time in the middle of the season. Obviously it’s not ideal for the team. But he’s a human being, not a machine. I don’t get the criticism.

Why not just wish the best for a superstar who helped us win not one, but two titles.

Because I'm doing both. Not my fault the world is going soft and some people can't handle that.
