Unfortunately 'winning' does not equal 'won'.

The Eagles were only up 16-10 against the Packers in the 4th quarter, and were 12 yards from losing to the Rams this past week.  Washington has a very good offense (7th in total yards, 5th in points) and scored 22 4th quarter points against the Eagles in their last meeting.

Went 3-1 in predictions last week and 8-2 for the playoffs so far.  Only 3 games left to go:

AFC Championship -- Bills 30, Chiefs 24

The Chiefs haven't been dominant at all this season and more closely resemble the Vikings from a couple of years ago with all of their one-score wins.  The MVP should be Saquon Barkley because he delivered 3-4 wins for the Eagles, but if it's a QB award then Josh Allen has been league MVP this season.  He is playing better football than Patrick Mahomes this season.  KC has the better defense and better coaching, but I'm picking the Bills this weekend.

NFC Championship -- Eagles 27, Commanders 16

Washington has been a great story all season and are playing with house money in these playoffs, but they're not a good enough team yet to go to the Super Bowl.  Not enough has been said, IMO, about the Eagles benefit of this being a home game instead of travelling to Detroit.  For me, this game comes down to the Eagles OL and Barkley against the 28th ranked run defense in yards per carry against.  Say what you want about the Eagles' methodology this post season, but it should work again this Sunday vs Washington.  They should be able to dictate the flow of this game, control the clock, and the defense should be able to limit Daniels' success and force a couple more turnovers.

Those are my two picks as well.

You do realize the point of a message board is to not talk about anything, right?

This past summer the blog was THE place to talk about feet.  My how it has gone downhill since.

I didn't realize his foot kink included old guys talking about their gross feet.

His apparent tastes make his interest in the Jets job make more sense though.

I think any objective fan understands that losing Jalen cost us that game. We were on the way towards a blowout win and then everything changed. Even with that, the team still could've won, but other things happened like CJ getting ejected, and Smitty dropping a pass to ice things.  I think Barkley goes off for a huge game and the defense does their job and we win convincingly this weekend.

My point being everyone says "we were a Smith drop away from a win" but they don't consider the other unlikely factors that went into that game. IF Commanders didn't turn the ball over 5 times, are we still just a drop away from a win? If Eagles didn't dominate TOP, are we still a drop away from a win? To cover your point about Jalen which was obviously a factor, are The Commanders in position to win with a Smith drop had he played the whole game?

It was an extremely unusual NFL game. If I had to bet, none of those factors of 5 total turnovers, QB's being knocked out of the game, players getting ejected etc will happen Sunday. You saying "we were on the way towards a blowout win" may be factually correct. But again, how were the Eagles in that position? Quinn going for 4th and 1 at midfield and failing to convert. Then the Commanders returning a kick to midfield just to fumble on the first play. Is it likely both Eagles starting field positions will be midfield again? Probably not.

Eagles absolutely can and should win. I just wouldn't have any takeaways of the last game from a macro level.

Eagles by double digits. Got it.

Only in the bar

We are so close to making this happen. He's part of All-City's Dallas coverage.

My takeaway is Barkley had 100 yards in Q1 and it was 14-0 and we had the ball before a cheap hit. It would have been a blowout.

@vikas83  Your boy Ojomo might've just had the best game of his career, in the biggest game of his career. He made the most of his limited snaps, and I hope he gets even more on Sunday.

Nope, not even a little bit.

We did enough to win without hurts, defense had an off day. I trust them to get it done Sunday

The Laws of Physics won't allow that.

Did you just read the last sentence?

Eagles have a bit of a tougher schedule next year, but with the Lions potentially taking a step back, can get the #1 seed.

Eagles have an incredibly difficult schedule.  They will be competing for a wild card spot.

Question.  Should Tanner be active this week even though he is the third QB?  Hurts may be hurt or limited in some way during the game.  Just curious what people think.

No. That's my condensed view of that game.

Yes.  Starting QB is dinged up with a knee and the #2 was dinged up with ribs bad enough to tap out of the last game he played.  Be the Bengals; don't be the 49ers.

Not really worried about any of the NFC North games.

Ok but the point was whatever happened in that game isn't likely to happen again.

McKee doesn't need to be active to play. They would just have to pull Hurts and blame it on the knee and pull Pickett and blame it on the ribs.
