EMB Blog: 2024 Regular Season (Part 2) ... and Playoffs

This week I'm dropping my 473 yard Total Offense prediction from the Rams game down to 463 yards.  On Defense, keeping the Ravens under 250 Total Yards and no more than 7 points will be a tall order, but it worked well last week ... until Garbage Time ... so I will stick with both those numbers.

Ochuan Mathis seems like the most logical call up to fill Van Summeren's roster spot.

I think this will be a convincing game on paper…but i think like the Giants game, it will be incredibly frustrating to watch at times.  I’m going with a 5 point win.  I think we 7 and out first drive.  No points in the 1st (possession and quarter).  Birds are up 13 late, give up a garbage time TD and 2 point.

I pasted it in my mail app, changed it, copied it and then pasted it here.

Don't paste it anywhere first.  Make the changes in the address bar,  then paste it here

Your mail app likely still creates the hyper link before you made the changes.  That's why it still didn't work.

Can someone help me please? On your phone how do you quote something on the forum but remove the person you are quoting text from? Poor @time2rock gets quoted in all his topics from me.

We usually adjust well, but I think Henry is going to give this defense fits.

Would be a good chance for J(ag)odan Davis to show up

Uzomah has one week left of elevations. I don’t think he’s worth a 53 spot.

Depends on if they want a FB moving forward.

TBH I am not sure if you can include part of a post as a quote for which you want to respond to since the mobile version lacks the quote button.

@VaBeach_Eagle ... is that accurate?

You can still copy and paste whatever part you want to respond to but it just won't be in a quote box in your post.

I'm afraid it is going to be tough sledding tomorrow.  We simply don't match up well and they will be the hungrier team.

Henry - Our D is full of speed but also not a heavy group save the DTs.   I think Henry will wear us down and once he hits the 2nd level untouched there will be some gashing type runs.  Hopefully CJGJ and Blankenship can finish the game with their bodies intact.

Lamar - Normally our speed is going to handle any QB who looks to run.  However, Lamar is the GOAT (or is it Vick?) and his speed and quickness will outdo our guys.

OL/Saquon - Their D is great against the run so this one is likely going to be a push.

I hope I'm wrong but I fear we might get crushed.  The silver lining could be that we receive a humbling message and don't lose again all year long.  If we can exit with bruised egos but intact physically we will be fine.

Have to play dink and dunk with run mixed in.  Time eating drives to keep Ravens off the field.  Hopefully they can sneak in the long ball later in game.  Maybe put a spy on Lamar ?   Mush rush on defense ?

I was 100000000% wrong about him so far…still no part of looking at him says he should even be in the NFL.  What he’s doing with his size, athleticism and everything else is ridiculous.  He’s just a football player.

I had a high grade on bowers. Might be TE1 next yr if they can get stable at qb

Their Wrs are meh. Our dbs can handle them. I hope we use alot of 5 man lines. The key to stopping henry is getting in the backfield to disrupt his feet. Even if you dont tackle him, just dont let him get to the second level quickly

Thanks.  On my phone making changes in the address bar is challenging, but on my Mac it is much easier.

Give me eagles 20 ravens 31

Im a fan of Nakobe, but at his size he seems like the most likely victim

Highlight the text you want to quote, then copy what you have highlighted, then scroll down to the Reply box at the bottom of the page and click in that box to initiate a reply, then paste the copied text into that opened Reply.

I hope we see a lot of BEAR fronts. This will be the DeJean game if we win. Ravens are good running it out of 3 WR sets and we are just league average stopping the run in these sets.

Definitely a game where Davis shows his value.  Gap discipline from Baun and Dean will be crucial as well.

Yeah, I think we take what they give us and then look to hit a couple deep shots to Brown at some point.  I think Brown has a real shot at having a big game.  We can put up 20 points or so but I'm worried that will fall a good bit short.

Exactly.  We need to disrupt the play early.  If we do that and gang tackle we have a shot.  They will likely run a lot of straight dives.

What I do in those situations is start my reply with @time2rock said … "  and then paste the copied text followed by a "  Sometimes I also then highlight the quoted text and format it to be bold and italics.

Tricky part with that is Lamar usually occupies a defender on ROs, meaning you need to walk someone down into the box to scrape behind whoever is crashing on Henry. Problem there is Fangio uses a light box more than the vast majority of DCs in the league (and even if we do stack it, the ravens run into heavy boxes more often and with more success than any other team in the league.) Might be a game where we need to rely on a couple turnovers or some timely sacks to limit their offense.

Bruised egos, intact physically, and with a close nail biting win would be even better.
