PSU is a lock to win tonight. They always win this kind of game.

Huh? Do you watch college football?

Frankin is 1-13 vs Top 5 teams. Dude is a career loser

He trolls with PSU.  Claims Franklin is the greatest HC ever, etc.  Just ignore it, its not real.

He's a PSU gobbler. Franklin is trash. 3-17 against top 10 teams. PSU is the second most overrated college football program. Right behind ND

That's funny

Franklin has never lost to a top 5 team when the officials didn't conspire to screw over PSU. As we saw this year, PSU was the true winner of the game because the refs spotted OSU with like 17 points with awful one-sided calls.

Adjusting for bias, Franklin is actually undefeated against top teams.

Great throw by Ewers.  Big drop.  Would have been a tough catch, but in games like this, that's the difference between winning and losing.

Texas' kicker's name is Auburn.   Seems he should have gotten a scholarship to a different school, maybe Alabama.

Jalon Walker is such a stud.

Would love to draft him.

With Stoutland's expertise and the importance of maintaining continuity on defense and them already having a massive need at edge, I think it's going to be easier to replace a guard than a DT or edge. When Steen has played, he has not looked appreciably worse. And in pass protection I think at times he's even looked better. Becton in the run game is superior though. I'd love for them to keep all 4.

I wouldn’t say Steen has looked appreciably worse; rather, Becton has looked significantly better. As in way better. Steen has physical limitations that Becton does not. Right now, the Eagles have the best set of guards in the league. It boggles my mind that some folks don’t see this. Becton’s floor is above Steen’s ceiling. He’s bigger, stronger, faster, and quicker. And meaner. It’s really not close, and Steen is a very capable player.

I didn’t say Becton sucked. I said I’d just prefer to keep Williams and Sweat. That’s more about positional value than the quality of the player. I think Becton working out is, in itself, a case for why he should be prioritized last. The Eagles just filled that RG hole with a guard picked up off the scrap heap. So they’ve shown they can do that already. I don’t think it’s going to be easy to replace Milton Williams, Baun, or Sweat. And I think you can find quality guards in middle rounds of the draft that I’d trust with Stoutland coaching them up. I think it’s harder to find starting caliber DTs and edge rushers. But ideally I’d like to keep all of them and I think they have a good chance to.

But I’d be pretty surprised if Becton leaves. He likes it here and has said he wants to stay and finally found a home that fits.

Can't tell if you are trolling or a loser like Franklin. Lost to a Michigan team who didn't bother to pass it the 2nd half.

Trolling.

If Jeanty wasn't putting up video game numbers playing basically just the 1st half in the majority of his games with an insane yards after contact, Skattebo would be the talk of the town.

Imagine if the Eagles draft him.

Skattebo and Shipley in the backfield when Barkley is done and DeJean and Blankenship in the D-backfield.

You can’t replace Becton.

You can count the number of guys with his size who can actually move on one hand. We have the two best of them. Why give one of them up?

Cost.

Becton has the highest highs and lowest lows of our 5 starters. You can argue that if he cleans up the lows then he's a perennial Pro Bowler. But we can't possibly pay all 5 starters on the OL, an RB, 2 WRs AND a QB real money.

You have to let some positions go.

I don’t agree that we can’t pay them all, but even if we accept that for the sake of argument, my #1 priority is keeping this OL together.

Lane will be gone soon, Barkley is gone in one or two years. We can bring in a QB to give some optionality at QB (a good young QB on a rookie deal + whatever draft capital and cap space we can get for trading Hurts is an opportunity cost we should consider — and I say that as a Hurts fan).

The OL makes everything on this offense work. Becton is the priority as far as I’m concerned.

If Jalen Carter continues to get mugged and the refs don't call it, I want this kind of passion from Sirianni in a post game interview.

College football did not need to add a two minute timeout.   They already have a rule to stop the clock each and every time a team gets a first down.  The games take nearly 3.5 hours.  No need for an extra timeout.  Oh, they want more ad money.  NVM.  Good move by NCAA.  I love a 4 hour game.  🥱

Says we have to keep Becton whatever the cost, then immediately says we should trade the starting QB and replace them with someone who's never played a snap at NFL level to pay for it. Successful franchises don't trade their 3 year starter QB in order to pay a Right Guard.

He is a unicorn. You don't let him get away.

Which are irreplaceable for our team?  Becton and Baun, IMO.

The other two are replaceable but really nice to have.

I want to keep all 4.  I think Sweat may be the most fungible based on how Coach Vic is bringing along his edge rushers. Carter may be so disruptive that you could replace Milt but damn, I don't like that.

Guys like Becton at Guard are not exactly found on low hanging branches.  If he was an older reclamation project, I’d probably agree with you, but Becton is still very young.  He and Baun are my top priorities (if I was Howie).
