The dumbest part was pulling the ball from Barkley.  Taking the sack, versus throwing it away at least kept the clock moving.   But, if it hands it off to Barkley, they might lose a yard, or might gain 2... and the clock rolls on and they are in a decent position for 2nd down.

Way too many of those bad decisions that he’s making. Every week he makes at least a couple of them.

Anyone think they did that on purpose? Lol

Long term…you can’t have $430m invested in QB1\WR1\WR2 just to have an offense that throws for less than 200 yards per game.

If you want to be a run the ball dominantly and elite D team that actually competes for a SB, then you can’t ever afford to let the Williams or Bechtons of the world walk with you hit it big with them.  That money needs to get shaved off the pass attack you aren’t even using.  And if all QBs need that $250m deal, then you don’t need a pair of elite WRs for you qb to not use.

We threw for 108 yards today.  ONE hundred and 8!

Barkley himself put up 124 rushing!

I think he had the pass to AJ the next play to bail out that set of downs - but the inconsistency of this passing attack is hard to watch.

What’s happened to our 40 yard go routes to AJ, that made this palatable?

They started turning into rainbow INT's last year so they rightfully cut it out.

Don’t kid yourself though - having guys like AJ, Smitty and Goedert keeps defenses honest and helps open up the run game

Hurts was beyond terrible and if you can't admit that I've got nothing for you.

I think Hurts is overly scrutinized. He didn't play great, but he wasn't terrible either. He had an ok game, but was awful when it came to pulling the trigger in the pass game. That's not terrible, lol

And that’s the thing… The Hurts issue is a far greater concern than the defense. The defense struggled but still ultimately only allowed 16 points. It was ugly ugly ugly on defense but they did get the job done. But Hurts is limiting this offense every week.

I will give the defense a pass this week for their bad performance IMO. They have played really well and made me a believer that they’re good this year. Let’s see how they play next week against a good Steelers offense with a rejuvenated Wilson.

The issues with Hurts and the slow starts on offense have been a consistent problem this year. And have I mentioned the kicker problem..

We won and that’s all that really counts in the long run, but there are some serious concerns that need fixing.

Previous weeks it was 179 and118. It’s actually getting worse. Don’t see how we beat a good Steelers defense with our passing game being this bad. It’s not us being efficient. It’s us just not being good at passing the football

I’m in my 40’s now; they’ll kill me if they keep playing like this way before I can kill myself. 😂

I mean isnt pulling the trigger in the pass game what a QB is supposed to do? Hurts has it easier than any QB in the league and he makes everything look so difficult

This year?  It’s been Siri’s entire tenure minus the back end of 22.

Those are also basically his stats for the entire game.   🥱

He only completed 14 passes overall.

The thing that is so frustrating about Hurts is his inconsistency! He’s like Jekyll and Hide.

What constitutes terribe at the QB position for you?

Bad decision making? Poor vision? Poor pocket presence? Taking unnecessary sacks? Missing wide open receivers? Wildly inaccurate?

Because he was doing that all game.

Steelers are a team to attack through the air too.  Worst case scenario is PI because Porter Jr is a penalty machine.

The problem is he’s been awful at pulling the trigger almost all season. These drives are harder than they need to be because of him doing that, and it’s been a consistent issue. A team like Detroit or Buffalo will make you pay for that

27 fantasy points…

So, you're telling me he shouldn't get a game ball?

This team is what it is at this point. I don’t expect them to just flip the switch in the first quarter and get off to hot starts. And I think everyone can agree that Hurts is basically 2022 Brock Purdy with mobility. There’s enough of a sample this season to see the comparisons.

But on the positive side they have the best RB in the game, an elite offensive line, and the best defense they’ve had since the 2000s. This team can still go deep but the blueprint for their style has to be there. They have to survive the first quarter because if someone jumps on them fast, that puts the game in Hurts’s hands which isn’t good.

Gotta force Wilson to throw 4 INTs, and Barkley and the OL need to eat.  175 yards and 2 TDs from Barkley would go a long way to getting it done.

May not matter. We rarely get the calls on our opponents anyway.
