I'm just going to post this again -- the final drive to kill off 10.5 minutes to end the game was the most dominating thing I have seen in a long time. Doing it against that defense, against a Mike Tomlin team...I'm still in awe.

The difference in attitude and toughness this year vs. last year is insane.

I heard somewhere that the last drive was the longest (time wise) to end a game since the league started tracking such a stat.

Why did the nfl flex the bills patriots to 4:25? Lol

Idk but that slate of afternoon games next Sunday is trash outside of Minnesota vs. seattle which might be trash if geno doesn’t play. It’s pats vs. bills, jags vs. raiders, sf vs. Miami and minn vs. seattle

Sirianni has out-CEOed both Harbaugh and Tomlin.

When we get to these important games it is more important to have a backup guy who is solid and isn't going to make a big mistake then to have some guy who is "talented".  In any case, I'm not much of a Gainwell fan.

Yeah.  I don't think there is a certain trade off of talent for mistake prone anyway.  I'm good with finding someone better.

With Montgomery now and the rest of their defensive injuries, the Lions could easily lose 2-3 more games. Will be rooting for the Bears and the Seahawks hard the next couple of games.

Still need the Vikings to find another loss somewhere too.  If they win out they get the 1 seed.

I doubt they go for it, it was at their 43

Well maybe you're wrong and I'm right.

Could have lost to GB, NO, CLE, CAR...even the Commanders and Jacksonville games were in doubt. Can't complain about 12-2.

Commanders game wasn't in doubt.  The others yes possibly.

Atlanta game at least the win probability was at 99%.  What happened at the end of that game happens 1 out of 100 times.

Thats also how we beat NO.  So I feel like the NO and Atlanta games are a wash.

There is an alternate universe where Harris doesn't drop the toss and the Steelers tie the game.  Or where we don't benefit from unsportsmanlike and tripping personal fouls.

The defense was awesome at the beginning of the game, but the Steelers started to figure things out.  They started to run at our perimeter.  Wilson had some big scrambles.

The offense holding on the ball was a huge part of the defense's success.

There is another alternate universe without our 2 fumbles, and where the fumble we forced we recovered.

In this universe, which would be more reflective of the disparity between the teams than your alternate universe. The score is 50 something to 10 or so.

I've noticed today some media places are trying to make the Sirianni - Clint Hurtt situation into a big deal.  Not surprisingly the NY Post.

We all know Jalen Carter is a hot head.  I think coach Hurtt was trying to prevent any escalation.  I'd assume he talked to Jalen about how stupid his mistake was.

But some were saying Sirianni should fire Hurtt for trying to interfere with him.

Don't think I've seen the Sirianni era Eagles described better

Why is that so negative? Without his voice last week I don't know if we see a 1st quarter like that.

I like how this team is talking through things, coaches and players. Never be complacent.

I don't disagree.

Only negative because the media misrepresents it. He wants to win so badly, and he will have outbursts, but they are never malicious. He has a deep love for the game, and sometimes it gets the best of him.

We are more talented than any other team in the league.

The only way we lose games is from the random stuff - turnovers, penalties, and special teams.

The random was favoring them until the Harris fumble.

I'd have to disagree.  The way the Atlanta game ended wasn't like how the Saints game did.

Regardless, it's done and over.  They should have closed the game out in week 2 and didn't.

Like I said, that's why I'm rooting for the Bears. They play both the Lions and the Vikings.

Just a single Eagles win or a Wash loss and the #2 seed is secure.  Depending on what Det and Minn do we should have plenty opportunity to rest guys the last two weeks.

I don’t see it that way anymore. The #1 seed is going to come down to the last game likely unless Eagles drop a game or Lions lose out. Week 18 is never scheduled yet either so they will put the Lions/Vikings game at the same time as Eagles/Giants which will force Eagles to play starters and win.

IMO (just attitude) stems from the defense and having belief in them to get the job done. They are good at setting tones and it allows the offense to not always have to be perfect. I feel like last year if the offense wasn’t perfect, we kind of knew we were in serious trouble.

last drive was just eagles started poorly with the penalty but after that it was damn near perfect and capped off by gainwell

Going from close to the worst defense last year (30th I believe) to the best in one offseason is unreal. Combination of better coaching, improvement in young guys (Carter, Smith, JD, Reed) and serious talent upgrades (Q for JB, Coop for Maddox, CJGJ for Byard, Baun and Dean for the dreck of last year). The exciting part -- it is one of the youngest defenses in the league too. Hopefully we can keep most of it together.

Everyone in the media talks about the offense, and somehow a defense that hasn't given up more than 17 points outside of garbage time since the bye is being overlooked. And we played some good offenses -- CIN, WSH, BAL, etc.

I'm not so sure the Lions make it to the NFCCG with all their injuries. 12 defensive players in IR.

I was about to say the same thing. Eagles being tbe #2 seed has a good chance at hosting the NFCCG if they make it. I think Lions can beat the the Bears and 49ers but I’m not sure they will the Packers/Vikings/Rams.

At the same time though, we need the Vikings to lose one more before the end of the season.

He needs to average nearly 160 per game just to get to 2000 without playing in Week 18.

Just needs a big game next week and it’s very doable.
