I am in no way criticizing Hurts here, but please don't compare QBs like that.  Football is a team game.

Hurts and his 3+ seconds to throw looked much better than Mahomes and the perpetual pressure he faced.

Context matters.

 

Only guy I'd consider without play calling experience is Josh McCown. He was loved in the Eagles building when he was here. Got the most out of Darnold this year, obviously has a ton of credibility to players. Playcalling might be high ceiling, low floor - but I'd roll the dice.

4. Patullo OC/Slowik as PGC

Could see a scenario where Patullo is named OC, Reich is Senior Offensive Asst.

Is there going to be a blu ray release of the Eagles Super Bowl? I googled and it doesn't seem last year they released one. Physical media is dying, so I wonder if they just aren't going to make them anymore.

I'm lost on what you're doing. Are you complaining that Mahomes had no time to throw?

Mahomes went 21/32 257yds passing with 3TDs and 2 picks. The TDs were in garbage time

We've done the career comparisons before and Mahomes>Hurts. You can stay in fantasy land and that's fine. I'm still enjoying the win 🤷‍♂️

Let's give him $14m-15m/year and call it a day. I think he's gonna take less to stay here, this is where his career took off and they're not going to low ball him. Can I ask a question.  If everything from Sunday is equal, and you switch Mahomes and Hurts, what is the outcome of the game?

The Hurts criticism that was mentioned throughout the regular season and the playoffs was warranted and both statements can be true: 1.) He was primarily a game-manager for most of the regular season and the playoffs riding Saquon and the defense to wins and 2.) He elevated his play when it mattered most in the NFCCG and Super Bowl. I always said that with this roster, Hurts playing the game-manager role and not hero ball while limiting dumb turnovers and making plays with his legs is good enough to win a Super Bowl. The coaches knew that which is why they ran the offense through Saquon all year long and the defense got better and better every week. 

Everyone kept waiting for the hypothetical "Well, what happens if we get into a shootout and need Hurts to throw for 400 yards and 5 TDs to keep up" game but that never happened because this defense was dominant.

Not to sound like a complete jerk but Chiefs have a lot more turnovers and likely do not score at all.
