This right here is why I really don't think I want to see him move outside.   Inside he's a weapon.  Inside he's a guy that the other team has to figure out.  I think he'd be very good outside, but inside... I think he's special.  Maybe I'm wrong.  But, with today's NFL being mostly nickel anyway, playing nickel basically means he's a starter anyway.

Yup. I think he can have a prime Tyran Mathieu/Chris Harris Jr like impact on a defensive from the inside.  You don't mess around with that.

Someone already said it but the only thing missing from that game was Saquon ripping a 40-50 yarder right down their throats. But the dagger to smitty did essentially the same thing.

I have to say that I am just so much more enthralled by a long run than a long pass.   The orchestration and coordination is just so much more intricate to me.   Don't get me wrong, a long pass is nice.   And scoring a TD from mid-field through the air is awesome.   BUT, watching the OL celebrate with their arms in the air as Barkley was just past them and then watching him take it the distance is just so much more exciting to me.  I don't know why... but its just so much more beautiful.

Maybe I'm the only one.

All that said... this past Super Bowl was a thing of beauty and the lack of the long TD run takes nothing away from it.  :LII:

We gotta stop with the "would you take Burrow, Allen, etc. and what would our record be" scenarios. For better or worse, Howie builds this team around Jalen's strengths and weaknesses, and Nick designs the offense around it. Hurts threat as a runner impacts the entire running game -- Barkley isn't the same if Burrow is here. Allen and Lamar would be similar for sure. We run pass concepts for deeper, outside the numbers throws to play to his strengths. AJ and DeVonta excel at the things Hurts does best -- I know Smith is tough, but he's not a guy going over the middle all the time. Hurts being the QB massively impacts roster construction, and we have found a way to turn it into a winning formula.

Said another way -- we just curb stomped a "dynasty" in the Super Bowl. Be happy.

The question about Hurts and the team now is whether they can do it again.

Totally agree — especially at RB.

I’d go so far as to say I’d take Hampton in the first if he fell to us.

I disagree.  But you shouldn't be.

Pretty sure my section started the "We Want Wentz" chant in the 4th quarter.

Who had "at this stage in their careers, Kenny Pickett has more snaps in Super Bowls than Carson Wentz” on their bingo cards?

Dude...you still don't get it. When Hurts plays poorly just about everyone in here sees it and understands it. There are only 2-3 in delusion land in here that seem to struggle with it. There are several in here who not only see the concerns  but also seem to understand the root causes and comment on it. The overwhelming majority of fans in here see it,  make a comment in real time and move on. They don't need to repeat themselves over and over for months on end to the point of trolling. Then there is your little group of merrymakers who feel some weird sense of obligation to preach narratives and actually wish bad things to happen. The overwhelming majority get it and don't need the childish repetitive takes which you seem to thrive on. This is as immature a post as it gets.

I guess you have the other side on ignore

Someone explained it perfectly in the other thread but I'm not able to search through it for some reason. I guess locked threads don't allow search

There are people who feel Hurts does no wrong and there are people who point out the inaccuracies in those statements. Both of those become two extremes

Gonna have to trade up in round 2 for him.

Feel like I'm winning too much! LoL

What's next?

Maybe you'll finally experience the touch of a woman

ESPN said the 2024 Eagles are 39th out of the 59 Super Bowl winners.

Still disrespecting.

Good. Go into next year with a chip on their shoulders.

Not that it means anything, of course

That's exactly right....why does anyone care what the delusional people like RTK have to say..there is obviously something organically wrong with him. Communicating with someone that disturbed is just a waste of time.

Doesn't matter.  For 2024, they are #1 out of 32.  That's all that matters.  Everything else is just opinion.

DeJean followed Kelce quite a bit.

It’s different having your slot corner follow around Kelce, a glorified slot. I’m talking having outside corners flip sides and follow No. 1s into the slot.

If anyone knows of a source for archived NFL Radio broadcasts from the season, let me know. I think I might have a potential use/need for them... NFL.COM stopped archiving them several years ago <_<

FB_IMG_1739314051954.jpg

I’m just gonna say that I still believe the coaching staff was hiding Hurts after his early season struggles and didn’t really trust him for much of the season. I said some time in the past 4-6 weeks that if we didn’t win the Super Bowl that it would be because of the QB.

Hurts stepped up big time and turned the clock back to 2022 in the NFC championship game and Super Bowl. That’s awesome. I would like to see more of that in 2025.

Speaking of great tackles. The tackle Quinyon had early in the game was fantastic.

My friend who was at the game said they actually had Q on Kelce a lot and it is why Kelce did squat......would have to watch film to see but wouldn't shock me either.
