Unless something was taken out of contex, doesn't exactly sound like a ringing endorsement?

It might be a commentary on Brian Johnson in the past and how that worked out. Hard to say without a bit more context of exactly how the question was asked.

I'll be one of many that will boo him. He should read the room after his recent podcast and sit this parade out.

That would be dumb.

Well - that's coming from a two time NFC Champion and current Super Bowl Champion QB who has had what?  4 offensive coordinators since he's been in the NFL with another 2 or 3 in college - so that makes this one his 6th or 7th offensive coordinator?

I would feel the same way.  This team has already been to the Super Bowl twice - winning it once - it's going to be the former QB coach or assistant who's getting promoted to be the offensive coordinator of the Philadelphia Eagles that's going to need to learn - probably as much or more than he will need to.

Knowing that - I honestly am beginning to think we might need to bring in a "big name" this time around.   Someone Hurts will need to respect because it won't be a "QB coach" from an organization that did less than his own team did.

"QB Whisperer" types....

Frank Reich

Doug Pederson

Those two come to mind.

Next on my list would be:

Josh McCown - he understands the QB position and would be beneficial for Hurts - that said, no idea how he would do designing, calling plays etc

Kevin Patullo was our "pass game Coordinator" this season.  Unfortunately for him - and it likely wasn't his fault - the passing game was the most criticized aspect of this team throughout the season - by both fans, media and players alike.  So in this case, no, I can't promote the guy for that simple reason.  Potentially promote him to some sort of Assistant Offensive Coordinator for next season - sure - just so he gets that stigma off his back.  But we need to bring in a guy from the outside, imo.

Translation; Howie, cut that check and I'm here.  This is a situation he outplayed his original contract.  He's going to cost more, it is what it is.

Man he gambled and won. Howie really has to open that vault for him. I hope Jeff wasn't talking about him when he said tough decisions will be made and he expects comp picks in 2026.

Forgot about Ojulari. Might be a cheap rotational option.

Mentioned him the other day. Jimmy, are you on here?

All due respect to Milton Williams - the guy is a pure stud and will have a long and potentially fruitful career in the NFL.  Those stats are based off him taking less than 50% of the snaps, as a super high end rotational piece,  alongside Jalen Carter - who takes most of the double teams - on the majority of snaps.  Basically, he would not be graded that high if he wasn't playing alongside Jalen Carter and didn't have  Jordan Davis taking the majority of run blocking snaps.

That said, not every GM is Howie Roseman so someone could end up offering him 20+ mil per year.  And good for him - go get paid.

That said, if he doesn't get some insane offer - bring him back and let's run it back!

Further endorses the need to keep Baun - who is a great teammate as well.

You need to factor in these off the field contributions into the value of the player.

As long as he sticks to the formula from this year.  Run the ball, throw off that and play good defense.  I wouldnt mind bringing in another RB or drafting one to take the load off Barkley a little along with Shipley.

Maybe they could bring in someone new as pass game coordinator that helps improve it a little.

If not Patullo then who's really available?   Reich would be a good story but maybe they bring him in as QB coach.

I'm throwing in my Milton Williams towel. He wants to be in a situation as close to here as possible. Nope, he's gone.

They bringing out Shane Gillis? That guy can put back some BLs (god help him).

What's the chance that Williams goes to Commies or Dallas?

I agree on Baun, 100% needs to be extended. I can't imagine the downfall here if we do not.

IDK - the fact that the passing game was so sporadic this season and the fact that Patullo is "Sirianni's buddy" just wreaks of the entire Doug Pederson - Press Taylor type of situation - where the head coach becomes overly comfortable with one of his coaches etc Let's not do that again.

Just bring someone in from the outside.  It worked wonders this year - all the way to the Lombardi Trophy.

I doubt either one. Commies have two expensive DT's already and Dallas has their own FA DT that's pretty good.

At my daughter's gymnastics last night, I had on an Eagles rain jacket, and some dude walked in with a Giants jacket.  He looked right at me, and the level of dejection in this guy's soul made my entire night.  I laughed at him and pointed at him and he just put his head down in shame.

It's the little things in life which make it joyful.  Daughter's gymnastics and reveling in the pain and dejection of other fan bases.

Good times...good times!
