I kinda feel like Xavier Worthy is gonna be a tough dude for us to cover. Shifty enough to do damage underneath, with plenty of speed to hit you deep too. Not the biggest guy, so it's not an issue of contested catches, but Reid will get him out in space often where it'll be on Mahomes if he can get it to him. He's like a more dangerous version of Jayden Reed who cooked us pretty bad in Week 1.

Apologies if already posted (from pff so grains of salt and all that.)

Jalen Hurts thrived vs. the blitz

There aren’t many certainties in life, but one is seemingly Steve Spagnuolo’s blitz packages dictating games every January. Such was the case again in the 2024 AFC Championship game, with the Bills’ last-dash fourth-down try thwarted by Kansas City's pressure look.

In Super Bowl 57, Hurts played a fantastic overall game, and blitz recognition was a big component. While being blitzed on 42.9% of his dropbacks, Hurts completed 13 of his 18 passes for a 90.8 PFF passing grade, three big-time throws and zero turnover-worthy plays. The play below was Hurts' most remarkable work in evading extra pressure to move the chains, but he regularly got the ball out in rhythm to foil Spagnuolo’s plan.

Hurts was better against the blitz two years ago (74.5 PFF passing grade) than in 2024 (65.5), something that reflects his waning overall play. Whether or not Spagnuolo elects to blitz at the same frequency — or if he holds back because of how well Hurts did in Super Bowl 57 — will be telling.

Spoiler alert:  They are going to blitz like a mofo.

We see what we see. We said what we said.  Don't like it?  Then police it up internally instead of caterwauling about it. They best do it too because they look foolish.

Hopefully CJGJ will do to him what Malcolm Jenkins did to Brandin Cooks

Perfect timing. He’ll want a huge game, just so long as he doesn’t go all Jason Babin on us.

Random scenario:

Eagles up 6 with a minute to go. Chiefs have no timeouts left. Eagles have the ball. 4th and 1. From the 23 yard line. 40 yard FG makes it a two possession game, essentially game over. Tush push also = game over.

What do you do? Attempt the 40 yarder with Elliott or do the tush push?

play action pass to smitty or goedert or set up for brotherly shove and hurts give a hand off to saquon off the right or left side.

As we have seen many times for the Chiefs, a 9 point lead with 6 minutes to go is not essentially game over.    Hell, a 13 point lead over the Rams in a snow storm with 4 and a half minutes left in the game wasn't even game over.

Ironic the league that had "End Racism” painted in end zones for 4 years doesn’t acknowledge implicit bias exists.

Yeah he worries me too. Kelce is going to get his but Worthy is my main concern. I’m hoping they hit him early and often

I don't know if Embiid already has a nickname, but it should be Guest Star .... you're always a bit surprised when he turns up.

His casual employment status reminds me of those old Cannon episodes from the 70s:

CANNON!  A Quinn Martin production.  Starring:  William Conrad.  Also starring: Leslie Nielsen, Joan Van Ark, William Shatner, Dick Van Patten.  Special guest star: Lee Purcell.

Tonight's episode:  Inevitable Injury

lol

Eagles don’t win SB52 without Wentz teeing up HFA - I’ll always be grateful for that.

But it’s hard to disentangle that with his absolute loser energy the whole Foles run and after.

I think he gets dragged for this way too much. I broke me leg half way through one of our seasons and watched our team go on to win the division. It was tremendous and I was ecstatic, but at the same time I was heartbroken that I wasn't able to play in the games that mattered most. You want to be out there leading your team, helping your teammates etc. This is what I feel that he's going through at this moment. He's not pouting that Nick gets the credit and he doesn't.
