February 14Feb 14 I have zero worries on motivation for the 2025 Eagles. Nobody QB's like Fitz talking about how you can't put Hurts in other systems so he is not top 5 then goes on to praise Goff as a better QB who is custom fit in an A+++ offense with deep speed everywhere, a great O-line, and still he wets the bed. The media has been trained for 100 years to hate on Philly. It started with NY Newspapers and it never ended. This team will want to prove it again and then go for the real threepeat.  Its hard to win always but motivation won't be the reason they don't.

KC is a drowning man and OL is the life preserver so I doubt they move back (might move up) I could see Howie making that deal for a future 1 or for extra picks to go back to 40 or so.
February 14Feb 14 I'm presuming one of Pickett/McKee gets traded. Good off-season to have a tradeable QB. If that happens and it is a day 2 pick in return, I could envision trading #32 for a 1st in 2026. Imagine being the back to back Champs with two 2026 first rounders in their pocket. Â

I really anticipate this turning out like the Pickett draft, but if teams are dumb and take Sanders and Ward top 5, I can see someone wanting a Lamar type insurance on a 5th year for Milroe or Dart.  Which means whoever does that will be giving us a top 5 pick in return.

In 2018, we traded #32 to Baltimore for 3 picks, the first of which turned into Dallas Goedert (with Akers announcing it in Dallas and trolling Cowboys fans). Baltimore picked Lamar Jackson.Â

With the Wentz and 2021 trade down picks finally drying up and some major contributers possibly signing elsewhere, 2025 will be a huge test for Howie. He's on a heater of heaters. I’m looking for a trade down this year. The talent gap between ~15 and ~40 isn’t that large. Also, while it’s a weak QB class, anyone who passes on Ward and Sanders who is looking to get Dart or Milroe in the second round might be willing to trade up for the extra year on the contract. I’d be fine with either more picks or future picks; the former to continue to stack depth, the later to position our selves for a trade up to get Lane Johnson’s eventual replacement.

The talent is so muddy this year that you make your board and pick your picks.  I’d only trade for future picks instead of playing games and getting cute.  If anything target a player and get them.

February 14Feb 14 Reposting because old blog closed… Please make this emoji happen @VaBeach_Eagle…courtesy of @Mike030270….maybe clean it up a little bit around the edges… But that’s epic Howie 🤣
February 14Feb 14 Never ended up crossing paths with Kelce. The Benedict Arnold is just the level of coward that I took him as. Â

I posted about it in the old blog but going to do it again. This is all based off of historical trades and projections but... -AJ Feely was traded for pick 35. Pick 35 in the 2025 draft has a value of 550. So let's assume a backup QB with starting potential has a value of 550-600. -Cleveland, NYG and the Titans have picks 33-35. All of them could use a bridge starter. Kenny Pickett or Tanner McKee COULD be an option. I can imagine the Browns want a cheap option at QB while they are stuck with Watson on IR again. Kenny Pickett could make a world of sense for them. -Eagles trade Kenny Pickett to the Browns for the 1st pick in the 2nd round which has a value of 580. -With 32, 33 and 64 to work with, the Eagles have a draft value of 1440. Pick 7 is worth 1500, pick 8 is 1400. -I want Mason Graham. He's looking like a borderline top 5 pick. He's worth that, but I'd imagine that QBs start to skyrocket after the combine and teams will be moving up to get their QB. -If Mason Graham falls to pick 7, I'm trading some combination of 32, 33, 64 and a player to move up for Graham.  This will never happen, but it's fun to think about different scenarios. I do think there's a 100% chance that one of Pickett or McKee is moved. I also think the Browns are an ideal trade partner for one of them. Both are under control and extremely cheap for 2 more years (assuming they'd pick up Pickett's 5th year option). That's exactly the kind of situation the Browns need to be in while they have Watson's contract.
