We could definitely be picking a tight end in the first two rounds. It's a pretty significant need, IMO. And I'm probably the biggest Goedert fan here. We need that succession plan to start moving.

IMO, we don't need to spend that much draft capital on a TE for the next couple of years.

Goedert has about three routes that Hurts will throw to him.  Sail, mesh, and shallow out.  We need to find a prospect with his blocking capabilities and enough pass-catching skills to fill his role as the third/fourth option in the passing game.

The issue with Milton Williams, and the reason to let someone else overpay him, is that it seems highly possible/likely that his success is due to playing next to Jalen Carter. And the best evidence o

I don't know if I've read this, but what about Andy being Andy? How many seasons did we watch this coach revert to pass-happy desperation and totally abandon the run game? One of the main reasons the D line looked so good was that the run threat was near zero, and they pinned their ears back nearly the entire game. Forget fatigue. Andy still does Andy when his O production gets stressed.

If you count the 3 he was on the sideline for along with the 1 he lost you can sort of add Reich.

Well, I did say 'starting' QB.  So, :P

Who is the best, most important future player on the team that did nothing this year?

For argument’s sake, include Dotson and Shipley in the pool of discussion even if you want to argue that they did more than nothing.

Ringo. Has the physical tools to be an impact player and he has a chance to be a starter this year if the dominos fall correctly.

Huff.  If he becomes a useful edge in the rotation, it addresses a big concern with the potential departures of Sweat and Graham.

BTA was clearly something talked about before the game.  Clint Hurtt made a slapping motion at the parade and Milton's dad had out his belt.

The coaching staff was.  You know, the guys that orchestrated the #1 in the NFL this season.

But...they may have an different opinion of Dean post injury.

Was vs. Is.

Dean shocked this year, but he was limited as well.  Given the injury I’m curious to see how he rebounds.  He already struggled mightily if he had to move in any direction but downhill.  Pass coverage was definitely a significant weak point of his game.  Over the course of the year he got a lot better at angles he was taking and not missing multiple tackles every game, so i got to give him props there.  Also, his injury bug thing…

Burks had some really rough spots but stepped up huge in the NFCCG and SB, from the bits I saw he as good or better than what Dean gave over the course of the year in those 2 games.  Too small of a sample size to judge on.

@VaBeach_Eagle There seems to be an issue where embedded tweets just don't load anymore. Like you go to the page they were posted and there's just a blank space. They weren't ones that were deleted, those come up as "tweet deleted" or whatever.

I made sure it wasn't just my browser. Tried it on several browers on my PC, iPad, and phone. Same thing.

Example:

There's a tweet in that post, but all that's visible is the gif.

Some don't show for some reason, but I see a lot that do. So I don't know why but I'll keep looking into it and if there's a solution, I'll fix it.

i'm sure this has already been posted..

I wonder if Eagles would have interest in a guy like Hollywood Brown in free agency. They liked him back when he was drafted. He has speed, which if there's one thing this Eagles offense lacks it's that deep speed type of guy. Or guys they can run screens to. They thought Ainias would be that, he isn't. He's coming off a season in KC where he did nothing so he'll be dirt cheap. Could see them being interested as a WR3/4 for like 1 year 3m or something. Especially if they aren't satisfied with what Dotson brought as WR3. Remains to be seen how they feel about him, I still think he could've been utilized more.

Not a chance. I highly doubt we see any additions to the WR room outside of an UDFA. Every dime they have needs to go towards keeping as many of their big 4 as they can and extending young players.

This offense/QB don't utilize WR3 nearly enough for them to spend the money. Jahan Dotson is a good WR who just doesn't get used. He showed his value numerous times this season, he just doesn't see targets. They also kept Ainias Smith on the team the whole year. No way they kept him around that much just to get rid of him next year. Johnny Wilson brings a dynamic that none of the other WR have. They trusted him enough to target him in the SB and his blocking is something they really like. I'd imagine Covey signs his RFA tender and is back too.

Are we sure that Nakobe Dean was better than Oren Burks?

Burks proved to be a player and I'd love for him to be back. He's 30 so I don't think teams are going to line up to sign him, although he played his best when all other NFL teams were watching so I'm sure he got noticed.

I have tinnitus from my days in the Army. Some days it's not bad, some days it gives me migraines. It's not migraine level, but it's getting close.

Dude, tinnitus is the worst.

Ever since my TBI from the surgery I had back in '23, I have been dealing with that daily. I need to have noise around me at all times because if I don't, then all I hear is this GD ringing.
